number of posts
 

Web team i have only just noticed that my number of posts has been dramaticaly reduced, by around 200, why is this?

they have taken out the rubbish ..... be grateful they have left you what they have, as most if those are debatable ....

I had a hunt around and found some missing posts down the back of the sofa :sing:

There's a bit of a saga with the posts....

We currently have 3 different databases with postings in -
1) the current system covering 13th May 2003 onwards
2) Old system covering 13th May 2003 to 9th Oct 2003
3) Oldest system covering 31st May 2001 to 12th May 2003

I have (with this latest update) added together the totals from each of the areas to come up with the total postings. The astute amongst you will realise that there are duplicates being counted between 13th May to 9th Oct 2003, so there will come a time in the future when these get corrected - downwards!

The oldest set of postings are in a different format to the current database and have to be converted - which is why the access to the old posts (from the main website home pages) doesn't work at the moment.

When I get chance, I'll get them updated into the new format..... but it may be a while yet.....:burn:

Thats coz i've nicked 'em, my posts have jumped by a couple of hundred.

Maybe the webteam are sharing them out between 996R owners, or i've got more as a reward for writing an article for Pronto:D.

Just remembered i was deducted 200 posts last year for being norf of Watford, maybe Webteam decided Norf/Sarf divide isn't so bad after all:o

By the way Dibbles isn't a post count, its a Donut count:lol:

mine jumped by about 600+ :o

webteam - why not set all counters back to '0':puzzled:

Even worse than missing posts, there are entire missing threads!!!!

The recent thread about someone wanting their seat covered in suede in the 749/999 forum has gone walkies, just after I posted a reply!! And then another couple of my posts have disappeared?

Flanks - there is something very wrong tho mate, I know I type for England, nay - the World - but I have now increased by over 700 posts in the last week!!

It jumped from 2050/2100 - to what you can see now - over 2700.

I vote back to '0' - so its just like the Desmo Due - a level field for all!:lol:
