Celebs on Dukes !

Picked up 'Hello' magazine in a customer reception today and was quite chuffed to see that a short arsed little actor by the name of a Mr Tom Cruise has a 999R..in full carbon fairing !!!

Some pics of him arriving on it in his 'ducati meccanica' jacket at an academy awards after show party !!!!

Nice one Thomas...:D..Hmmm..I wonder how much he pays for his servicing..or even his bike for that matter !!!?

Any other duke owning celebs you know of ?! ..I can think of Ewan McGregor, Les Ferdinand, Nick Faldo..also know Ayrton Senna was a big fan....(his 851 was his prized possesion I believe ?!)

Cheers
Nat

By the way I have known his boyguard since he was with us when we got pulled on the A303 about 10 years ago :lol:

Got done for 101.3:lol::lol:

According to the book Long Way Round, he gave it to Charlie Boorman, who still has it..

Felix 15-Mar-2005 23:10

Jay Leno must own one. He owns god knows how many bikes.

JPM 15-Mar-2005 23:14

Mr S has said what I was going to say that Charlie Borman (sp?) has Ewan's 748... it was stolen...

I think Goldie has a monster, saw it years ago at JHP at John's barn, totally "blinged" up, everything was gold, gold plated bits everywhere... some PR gift from DUK

Mr_S 15-Mar-2005 23:55

Leno has a Hailwood rep.

rockhopper 16-Mar-2005 19:56

Yes its VBH. They did a feature last year with her and Tiff doing a Ron Haslam School at Donington. Tiff threw his CBR into the kitty litter.

Look how shiney that front pipe is! How do you get them to stay shiney, unless of course it's never been ridden. Perhaps only just took delivery .. <giving benefit of the doubt> :sing:

andy750 19-Mar-2005 17:01

Matt Le Blanc rides an Aprilia Nera. It was given to him after he visted the factory. Don't know if you ever noticed but on the prog there use to be if I remember right a 996 parked outside the coffee shop place.

Mr_S 20-Mar-2005 00:17

Let's not forget Dr Evil and MiniMe :)

Rode them in the movies....

Laurence Fishburne & Stephen Baldwin ( Fled )
Seth Green (Italian Job)

hogfisch 27-Mar-2005 20:14

I can personally vouch for Eddie Irvine's 916SPS because my father-in-law has done some building work for the said man in Oxford and guess what was parked in his living room?! He even asked Eddie's agent if it was for sale and was told in polite terms to **** off!

Road Runner 27-Mar-2005 20:24

Any one noticed the trailer for a drama with Angus Deaton on 999 in the North of England might be fun to watch ??:sing:
