Should I keep the monster S4R?
 

I recently purchased a 749R awaiting for delivery in a few weeks. I have proposed to trade in the Monster s4R fo 70% of what I paid for. However, I have only owned the S4R for 6 months and put 200miles on it. Should I keep it along with the new 749R? Tough call...

If you can afford to keep both, why not? I'd love to have one of each :D

749R is a great bit of kit. The S4R is a huge amount of fun on real roads. I'd love one!

oh yes indeedy, keep it for when you wanna have a little blast about town, without having to fully leather up.

Jacket, jeans and a lid (and boots too ;) )

sounds like the best of both worlds to me :D I went down the MV F4 and ST3 route myself and I love having the choice. If you lose 30% on the S4R then each of those miles is going to cost about £15 :devil:

I've had my S4R since November and it now has about 2,200 miles on it. At first I was slightly disappointed but now, as it gets more run in, its starting to get better and better. So my advice is keep it, if you can, but get out and ride it more, they become more fun the more miles you do.:cool:

Keep it mate..a bit like henners, im lucky enough to own 2 dukes which cover very different needs...a 888 and the S4R.

The S4R is just a cracking peice of kit. Its just great to throw a leather jacket on and nip into town on, or even go touring on with 'er indoors. Keep both, and you truly will have a bike for all occasions (and I dont know if youve checked this out yet, but insurance is hardly any extra either as they normally base the policy on the higher grouped bike).

hehehe. I think I may keep it, although the second dilemma comes when choosing which one to mod.

Blimey Typer...Loosing a grand or two on a 200 mile old bike that's scarcely been out of it's box, and selling a Spark exhaust system that hasn't even been out of it's box for £150 less that you paid for it?

You're not one of those guys with a dilemma like "I've gotta start with a million quid and be flat broke within a day, so that I can inherit 50 million" are you?

:) Nope. I wish I were one of those..
I bought the exhaust the same time I bought the bike. But I kept on waiting for the run-in period to be over. (but got too busy to ride and putting on miles in small Hong Kong may take months).
The the entire time I thought I bought the SIL motor since spareshack listed the item on ebay (I am only selling it at what I paid for it).
Recently when I am debating whether to keep the S4R, I found it was a spark. I never even opened the box....
I want to get the Sil for the S4R.
