wrong fuel?? got a different car this weekend, and, after filling up, guy tells me it only takes super unleaded!! Bit late, its got a tank of normal! Now, I pretty sure (read hopeful!!) that a tank of this wont do it toooo much damage, if any at all, but could do with some reassurance. He reckons engine damage is a defo, I disagree. So, any potential problems with this?? |

 what car ??? |
nothing in handbook??????read instuructions before driving!!!!!!! what car?? |
350z - probably is in handbook but you would think he would tell me before I take it, especially as it is empty. Not an hour later!! I reckon ok as long I mix it at half tank time...works ok on my sps so if its good enough for ducati its good enough for nissan!! Oh, and as long as I dont cane it;) |

oooh, 350z .. lovely car, had one for a weekend ..... it'll be fine ... tell him to be grateful it wasnt that diesel stuff your saab runs on .... :sing: |
Perhaps thats what he has always put in. If it was the manufacturer surely something would be on the inside of the cap about what octane etc? |

err...there is, just never checked. Knew it wasnt diesel and its not a Ferrari!! so why should it be any different?? |
oh, and pumps dont show octane all the time and a numpty like me doesnt know 98 from 89...assumed all the same! |
I reckon you'll be fine. there's very few cars about that "need" super nowadays. In fact it sometimes makes it worse. Fill it up and enjoy :) |
No problem. The 350Z has a knock sensor that dials-back ignition timing for use with low-octane gas. You'll be down on power but get no engine damage. |
