Cadwell camping

Know this was kinda discussed a few weeks ago, but cant remember the outcome.

Want to drive up Sat pm to camp with da DD boyz with my family, watch racing Sun and retrun Monday.

A) can I camp on site with the competitors?
B) will I have to have tickets for Sun when I arrive Sat?
C) who else is camping over, on-competitor wise?
D) is it OK to camp Sun night to leave Monday?

Not sure who to call on this, so thought I would ask here:)

Cheers

Be good to have your support.

I'm not sure about the details, I assume that seeing as we have the same tickets as everyone else that you could do it. I'd just get tickets for Sat and camp and if someone approaches you then you can take it from there.

If you want to ring someone though the best bet would be to ring New Era themselves. Here is their website New Era

You may want to check about Sunday night camping though.

For C) did you mean non-competitor-wise? Lizzie is camping as well - with Mike.

TP, you're obviously not very important mate... my tickets say "weekend competitors admission"

Bradders, sorry but I have no spare tickets, I only got enough for the team :(
Don't know how it'll work with camping, but if you get there too early on saturday then you'll be having to pay to get in for the saturday racing too. And after 6pm there's probably a gestapo on the gate checking people in for the sunday races.

I don't think New Era have anything to do with admissions, I'll bet it's MSV that do all that so a call to cadwell circuit might be the way to go.

Well, I guess I didn't read them very closely!

I don't have any spare either Bradders, my two spare tickets are for the family who look like they're going to put in a visit.

I'll just shutup and watch TV I think ...

domski 25-Apr-2005 00:18

You'll probably need a ticket to get in, but once you're in on Saturday, you won't need anything for sunday.

domski 25-Apr-2005 00:18

Oh, and the paddock is open, so if you can find a space you can pitch your tent anywhere

psychlist 25-Apr-2005 08:12

Can I have a lift please Paul

After the no-show for most of the DD bits I won't be ready to race so I'll come aong to hiss and boo everyone from the sidelines ;)

Mark 25-Apr-2005 09:02

I'm only going on Sunday as I've got to work this Saturday.

Planning on coming up first thing Sunday morning. What time does the circuit open?

Paul that is a real shame you won't make it (racing), I was looking forward to seeing the fastest prepped bike in the series out there this weekend, not just in the wet!

If you need an extra set of hands helping, you've got my mobbie Paul.

what bits do you need ive got rearsets and discs you could borrow if that helps

psychlist 25-Apr-2005 10:31

Very generous offer but I've got everything coming this week (fingers crossed cos thats what I thought last week) and what my young race mechanic friend can't do for me I'll see if I can chat up my local dealer ;)

Why didn't I pay more attention to everyone else when they were taking their engines apart when I was a kid, I just wasnt interested to know how it did it, I just wanted to get out and ride :eureka:

bradders 25-Apr-2005 14:05

hope to be there by 6.30, so racing will be over, not sure if the gate will be open but have to play by ear...give you a call Fri Paul to finalise deatils like time.

Ok got my tent from e-bay, and the sleeping bags, blow up mattress, - kids have a Blues Clues and a Butt Ugly Martians one (don't ask) each. Go the disposable barbies and a gaz cooker for that mug of tea! It would have been cheaper to have booked a frigin hotel!

What else do we need? Bacon, - lots of bacon, - beer (Peroni), JD for a late night tipple, bottle of Cola for the wife and kids.

Be bringing the footballs for the kids.

Oh and we are trying to get a flag pole, to set it up from the Monty Hymen truck! Who's bringing the bugle for the last post at dusk?

So leave a space for my enormous tent! - Looks a bit bigger than expected! Never a good idea setting up a tent for the first time in public, should be fun and a good way of starting a domestic!

See you all there! :D

I'd not thought about the evening entertainment.
Glad you've got it sorted for us Ian... nice one.

Ha, I set the tent up this afternoon just to get an idea of how it goes up and down - in private!

Got a quick few phone pics - there's some video footage but I haven't got it off the camcorder yet.
