Thought from the title you were going to talk about anal bleaching:lol: |

OK, so now I am imagining bending over in front of the mirror examining my back end wondering if it needs bleaching. Me bad?!?!?!!??! |
and now I have a vision of you singing a Color Me Bad remix with the new lyrics "I wanna Bleach You Up" to yer backside ... |

I had mine fitted by a sign printing company in Norwich, i had to take the wheels in and they measured them, entered the size onto there computer and the machine cut em out, then another very nice man stuck them on, goes on easier than the straight stuff you can by from Halfords cause they are cut to shape and they colour match it to yer bike, £30..... alot for what it is,but its a good finish. |
I just got strips from ebay for about£12 inc postage they are pre-curved and four sections for each side of the wheels. Havent applied them yet so dont know how robust they might be,but at that price I'm happy to try them for a bit.The tricky bit I imagine is to get them spaced equally all around the edge so as my wheels dont look like clown wheels when turning. |

I was gonna do the same thing, let us know how it goes, and a pic would be fab :D |
Try a U2U to Dave W, he has done it to his 998R and if my memory serves, has also done Tart2's recently too. Rgds, Rob |
I did them on my old RSV with tape from Halfords. Dead easy to fit, just take your time. |
As a sign company we do it all the time (incl mine) and it really is very easy to apply 3mm straight cut vinyl to the rims. Just make sure you clean the wheels properly 1st, take the wheels off the bike, take your time, and overlap the joints by a couple of mm. If you were to take a close look at any professional race bikes graphics (including the wheels on toselands F05),they are all using this method. Painting them is fiddly, hence expensive.:D |
