Pro Twins

Right,

I was down south today at Pro Twins. Dropping of my bike for a bit of work befirew summer really starts.

Apart from all the cool bikes inside the place. I was looking at all the bikes pulling up outside and wondered If any of them are from DSC? I didnt ask cos I was too shy:saint::smug:

The time was about 12:30 onwards. I guess I was there for about an hour. Saw a monster mob 749/999? with another one but in standard colours. One chap picked up his 749R. God that bike does look grunty.

Another chap turned up on a 996 I think. It was T plate in exellent condition. Had two mates with him on jap bikes.
Another 996 arrived as I was leaving. It had yellow number boards front and back. Um,

Very tall chap on a Black multistrader. He left as I was waiting to chat to the chap from the workshop.

I was thinking to myself, one of you lot has to be from the DSC site surely?

wasn't me, was waiting to take it out tomorrow for a spin.
saw the yellow number board bike at box hill last weekend,
charlotte said that he doesn't have time for things like this club ?
what work you having done then ? something expensive

doogalman 30-Apr-2005 18:39

I have the 996 with the yellow boards. Was at bit of a loose end (riding round on me own, aka; Billy no mates). was needing to have a chat with Rob but he allways busy. Gave up in the end and headed home. Not a paid up member as belonged to DOC but did not work out too well. so wary of the full club bit. This is a good forum, which i regularly view.

are apologies then sir.
I used to be in the DOC and didn't think much of it either, but can say hand on hart this club is the real deal. browsed on the board for a while before signing up, but now I have its good, loads of offers and stickers, and 10% off at allot of ducati shops, and im sure the fees help go towards the board,
hook yourself up

DC, I was at Pro Twins at that time... wasn't on the bike though.

;)

Nothing to exotic for the bike this time. Just having a few bits and bobs done. Mostly boring stuff really.
I kept walking around looking at all those luverly ducatis up stairs. I had to get out before I became an owner of a second Ducati!!:o

I was just wondering to myself when all these bikes kept turning up, " I wonder if these guys are part of the DSC site?"

I guess that I will have to start turning up for a few ride outs. Say hello and get to know a few people?? I am getting a bit bored of riding on my own all of the time. If I talk to the wife any more about Ducatis, let alone motor bikes. I think that she will dis own me!!;):frog:

when do you get it back then ?

DC 30-Apr-2005 23:48

I think its gonna be in about a weeks time.
The bike should be pretty much set up for the coming year then. I have a few plans for next winter with regards to the engine but then I think you know what my plans are!!;)

sounds good.
give us a shout when you get it back and well have to sort out a ride out.
going to try and get hold of Neil at sigma next week,
seems to be the man to ask about the big bore. Nelly has run out
don't you just hate it when you want to get something and there is nothing available,
looks like ill be waiting till winter too :bouncy::roll::bouncy:

Heil certainly is an option for that big bore kit.

When I had my bike converted the time it took was just over a week I think. All in all he is a top bloke. I bet when you get your bike booked in, you will end up having OTHER work done as well??????

I was out the other day testing (Before going to Pro Twins) my new half system on the bike. It was running very well. I think that I may have dropped a bit of power lower down the rev range because now the power seems to come in with a bigger bang further up the range. However, the bike does seem to have a bit more power up top. Overall it still rides sweetly.
The cans sound awsome by the way. I have gone from carbon to Ti. With the cross over mid section. 50mm.

I will take you up on that ride out. Cheers.

I was there yesterday morning about 10am til 1045am. I met the tall bloke on the black Multi, had a chat to him about it - I never mentioned the DSC though - doh! There were no stickers on the Multi, nor on any of the other bikes that I could see.

Having said that, there are none on mine either - think I'll just go and pop one on the screen now...

Ade.

maybe we should all get our name/tags on the top fairings so we have a clue as to who is who!!!

I am going to get "Doogalman" laser cut and put on the top fairing.
