They look so good mate. Can't wait to start my collection (gotta sell my flat first and buy a house, not enough room right now for a collection!).

Ade.

Twinfan 07-May-2005 13:04

Cheers! I'm a huge BSB fan, so I'm well pleased I managed to source them all at reasonable prices :D

adam 07-May-2005 17:14

nice one dave. dont let the dust settle.

Twinfan 07-May-2005 17:59

I'm going to get one of those computer cleaners (air in an aerosol) to keep the dust off.

adam 07-May-2005 18:08

whats next on the list then dave?

baylissboy 07-May-2005 18:40

Looking good,dude!!

I'm being picky here, but what are the Reynolds 47(WSB wildcard) & the two 999's doing in the BSB collection?

Surely they should be in your WBS collection!!!

Twinfan 07-May-2005 18:45

I'd like a 2002 Katoh (NSR500) but I don't want to spend the £200 they seem to go for. I'm waiting on a few new 2004 models to be released (Toseland, Chili, Reynolds and Kagayama) but other than that there's not much else I'm interested in.

I'd LOVE a signed 2002 Hizzy but the seller of these seems to be exploiting Hizzy's death. I was a huge fan, so out of principle I won't buy one.

The two 999s were wild card BSB entries at Brands last year - Leon won the second race. The 47 Reynolds is technically his BSB bike from 2000, albeit badged from when he was a WSB entry at Brands. They're there for completeness :D

adam 07-May-2005 19:30

you old boys know your stuff:puzzled:

Twinfan 07-May-2005 20:00

Who you calling old????? :o

I just know my BSB :D

adam 07-May-2005 20:24

do you have all BSB's now, which bikes would you need to fill the WSB grid?

Twinfan 07-May-2005 21:13

Yeah, I've got all the BSBs :D

There are loads for the WSB - I'm not even starting to go there. To get them all, you have to buy a load of backmarkers on 996/998s which doesn't interest me.

deej 08-May-2005 11:28

i thought that would be more bsb models than that, im only missing a rutter rep to complete my bsb if i look at your collection. you lot are going to get me into trouble again !!!!!!!!!! im not even going to bother with the wsb either, just the 1's i like

looks good mate

im trying to get some photos of my cabinet but because ot the mirrored background i cant get the photos to come out the way i'd want them to

Wylie1 09-May-2005 18:04

deej....if you're interested in getting yourself a Rutter rep, I've found somewhere that has it on special offer at the moment for £23.99. Let me know if you want their details.

Twinfan 09-May-2005 18:12

I think that's where I got mine from ;) The 2002 Byrne is a similar price.

deej 19-May-2005 13:41

yes please wylie that would be quite cool at that price mate

u2u me if you prefer

cheers buddy

deej 19-May-2005 13:42

No problem with posting the details on here mate. If any other dsc members benefit, all the better.

Byrne 2002 is only £22.99. Loads of other bargains on there as well.

Cheers,
Lee

adam 20-May-2005 18:04

I got loads from them, very happy with them.

I have just got my Reynolds 2000 and Hodgson 2001 from Australia in perfect condition. I had a real deal on the Reynolds, both bikes were $99 Australian dollars, with postage they cost me £102. what a result.

I've been following the minichamps models posts with interest. What is best the 1/6th or 1/12th scale and what are the most sought after models? Is it just mainly the championship winning models or am i missing something.

I wouldn't mind collecting the WSBK winning bikes from 1998 onwards although i can't find Colin Edwards RC51 minichamps model.

Someone give me a list of the creme de la creme please.

The 1:12 scale models are definately the one's to go for.

The first models are from 1999 season. They didn't do a CE RC51 model.

Not necesarily the championship winning bikes that are the most sought after. The early one's from 1999-2000 fetch silly money (with the exception of '99 Foggy as they've re-released it) as they were produced in small numbers.

I'm sure someone will come along & offer a definitive list of the rarest models.

adam 21-May-2005 00:27

troy corser very very rare £500+
ben bostrom rare £250-£300
Troy Bayliss rare £400+

these are the ones to get if you want to start with the rare ones.
Take your time like me and build your collection gradually.

ziggi 21-May-2005 00:32

Cheers Wylie. I've just been looking a a 2000 #4 hoggy and 2000 #155 bostrum each at £200. Way too much for me.

Twinfan 22-May-2005 18:11

Going rate for those two I'm aftraid...

deej 22-May-2005 18:27

cheap for the bostrom at 200 i think

how does this swap meet site work

has anyone seen www.sportart.com.au yet ??? and bought off them

adam 22-May-2005 19:05

deej sportart are very expensive i think, have you seen any bargains there then?

deej 22-May-2005 19:27

not really looked at the conversion rate

i was only having a quick minichamps surf yesterday to calm my nerves down and came across a few of them

www.alpimodel.com is another

andys 900ss 24-Jun-2005 00:01

Blimey Dave,

I only have two ...

Andy

;)

alan_db 24-Jun-2005 00:26

I've used alpimodel before and the service and price was pretty good for models that are hard to get in UK.

I think it was a Hislop and a Chili Imola I bought, worked out about £40 each.

havent been on their site for a while but I guess I will be now....:)
