Since I've bought the 512MB card for my phone I've had a decent selection of music kicking around with me and I'm liking it, can't believe I waited so long to do it.

Got an Ipod, which I am listening to right now, currently got some scissor sisters playing, but had Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, various dance records, Queen, Visage :o Soft Cell :o Human League :o and on it goes...

I dont suppose you have the 'Rhubarb & Custard' theme tune- or the muppets?:puzzled:

Just both are 'in my head' as bike riding tunes at the moment:lol::lol:

Freak, I'll check out that phone. I don't want to buy an MP3 player while I've got that functionality in my phone. It doesn't make sense. I got this particular phone so I could have all the PDA functions in a single device with a small form factor. It's working out well.

I'm particularly getting into Public Enemy at the moment, I've rediscovered them. Isn't music great :D

Tony, I'll be after one myself, not out until end of the year, in Nokia time that's some point in 2006 from my experiences.

They aren't the most attractive phone but I reckon they're alright. Small form factor, like any other phone really - a tiny bit bigger than a 6230.

The N91 looks interesting. Will be interesting to see the device size.

It's bigger than a 6230, slightly longer than a 6600 but other dimensions about the same size

Yep, I have them on all day when I want to. When a phone call comes in it cuts the music and goes to the phone call. When the call is done I just go back to the media player and start the song and we're off again.

At work I pretty much do what I want in and around meetings and conference calls. So I can be at home, sit in the office etc but as I'm a quasi project manager/technical dude (recently became a PM as well!) I work by myself mostly so I'm pretty independant.

DCR, I sometimes prefer a bit of Meatloaf (bat out of hell is a strong favourite, and no comments about how apt, ok?:P) or Bon Jovi - livin on a prayer, which is reserved for steep hills in the downward direction. (I dont do 'down' hills - they are nearly as bad as big bridges, scarey:o )

Mobiles are flawed devices when they try to cram in too much functionality - one of the themes I am presenting this week in the US (hence the stupid-o-clock postings) - buy a camera if you want to take photos, an ipod if you want to listen to music, a psp if you want to play games, and a phone if you want to make calls!

and Feeder (Comfort in Sound) has been playing on a loop for the last week....

This is a good thread, although I haven't heard of any of the bands you're talking about, Tony! Must get out more.

Dseered, done that biting the cheek thing sooooo many times, but mainly from chewing gum whilst riding.

CK - I don't have tunes in my head whilst riding ... I have voices. And I can't shut them up. They're telling me how I'm riding and what I'm doing wrong. Or they're screaming at stupid drivers or the BHC crew or Hooley telling them to slow down!

I've discovered one good trick though. I can answer my mobile whilst still in my helmet. I've got a little Samsung phone and can stick it inside my helmet and ride whilst wearing it. Very useful when you're trying to find someone's house and they're talking you in with directions and a running commentary on what you should be looking out for. Result! :sing::D

No. My C500 does everything I want it to in one device and a small form factor.

You stick to analysing the business, I'll stick to the technology. Bloody upstart analysts thinking they know all about techo stuff!

I used to use my minidisc player when I first started riding, I'm not too sure whether it would be legal or not, I cannot see why not as you can have music on in the car, but I used to have the volume cranked up to get over the engine/exhaust/wind noise which obviously impacted on my senses as I had no idea what was around me. Also once you got towards 140+ it would start to skip with the amount of air flapping my leathers about.

Got a Ipod mini now, much smaller but never tried it on the bike, doubt I will to be honest.
