Oxon/Berks Sunday 6th Jan 2013

Not only is it the first Sunday of the Month but also the first Sunday of the Year
so who wants to meet up for Lunch at the H-Cafe

Depending on the weather there may or may not be a rideout prior to meeting at the Cafe

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we can meet up in Newbury and ride across country back to the cafe providing we can navigate around the flooded closed roads

So lets say Cafe for Lunch at 12:30

And weather (and numbers) permitting Maccy Ds in Newbury at 10am for a 10:30 departure

coppersaucepipe 04-Jan-2013 12:14

There's no rain or ice forecast for Sunday morning, just cloud.

Where's Maccy D's?

skidlids 04-Jan-2013 14:38

Steve its at 63a Northbrook street RG14 1AE

Just down the road from the Clock Tower past where the J&S accessories shop use to be

Gbyte666 04-Jan-2013 16:49

Yup I'm up for it as its forecast dry.
See you at H or N

Craig

Forecast still looking good, sunny spells, little wind and temp in double figures just. hopefully water levels have dropped but roads will still be a bit dirty.

So hope to see a few out tomorrow (already had a couple of DD guys visit today #10 and #15), we'll probably find H-cafe is packed when we get there, so anybody wanting anything to eat had best get their food order in on arrival

Dementor 05-Jan-2013 19:16

Hopefully see you next weekend down at Popham

At least I can still get my leathers on :)

skidlids 06-Jan-2013 22:13

Great to see everybody today, rode down to Newbury with Kev (#16) and Trudi (Riders Rep) where we were joined by Craig (ex#6), Phil (#5), Steve (#2) and eventually Buggsy, once we found him and added some go juice to his very dry tank. As we headed across country to the cafe across the Downs we not only came across a bit of sunshine and even a bit of a dry line in places but also spotted Simon heading in the opposite direction in his Van, Like us he also ended up at H-Cafe
We arrived at the cafe to meet up with a few others, Dave and Brenda were already there and we then joined by Andy (#15) and Karen and another Andy (#69)
As you can see there was a strong DD contingent out today and as such many of the conversations were about the coming season.
Dispite it being early January it was a good start to the 2013 rideouts with NO rain and temps in double figures, hopefully this is signs of things to come and we can get away from those wet rideout weekends of 2012
