Rider Of The Day

No doubt about it... damn good show Fil2.
Absolutely blinding in both races, well done chap you have good reason for celebration tonight!

p.s. In case of any doubt, it's my opinion not an official award!

Dibble 04-Jun-2005 21:04

good choice ....

but my Rider of the Day goes to Psychlist .... competing and in finishing both races after his off last year and recent events .... huge brass ******** ...... well done mate ....

and well done to all the competitors for being out there, I think the DSC did DH11 proud today.

Nigel C 04-Jun-2005 21:07

I'll second that Dibble

AK 04-Jun-2005 21:08

Couldnt agree more with BOTH the above posts Nick & Dibble

And Mark said what a nice bunch of people the DSC are (apart from the ones who have been bugging his workshop over the last few weeks! )

Great day, weather held firm too:)

AK 04-Jun-2005 21:20

He said ' Nick - get on the gas, you could have had him (possibly)!' :P

I coulda had him, but that's hindsight.
I was about 3m behind him - I backed off cos I didn't know which way he was going to fall!!

I don't deserve it peeps, but thank you. I appreciate all the words of support passed my way today, and seeing so many DSC members turn out on the day was a great show of strength, it really made it worthwhile. What a great club we have. Thank you Michael. The DD class has literally got all the paddock talking about it. I must admit that even tho I'd read all the words about the speed differential between the 583's and 620's it still didnt prepare me for having to watch them ride off into the distance even tho I was at full chat. I had 2 objectives, finish my first race in whatever position, and not be last in my second. Ticked both those boxes in the first race with a couple of tussles with Multistroodle Mike , I had to outbrake him in the 2nd race and almost let him back thro when I leant off a bit too far on the final corner and couldnt change up coming onto the straight :o
I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever race day and look forward to the next!

Thank you to Alison for travelling all that way for just a couple of hours standing at the pit wall and special thanks to James (Jamcoly) for his stirling efforts, without which today wouldnt have happened for me, you're a true star mate! :saint:

bradders 04-Jun-2005 22:38

top call for both, for different reasons

Brent 04-Jun-2005 22:53

Impressive commitment all round, but I'm with Dibs on this, having seen Psychlist reduce his chicken strips to zero in race 2. You can't try much harder. Well done Paul.

ericthered40 04-Jun-2005 23:40

Every one of you.

Today you rode together under the most difficult of circumstances.
You all showed your courage and respect, which I found truly inspirational.

:)

domski 04-Jun-2005 23:46

Yep, got to agree with Dibs too :o

Fil rode a blinder and two 6ths was incredible for a ginger tosser  (You know I love you ;))

The secret is the 4D BBQ the night before some of those sausages are bl88dy lethal and the extra bit of wind power makes all the differance  but then it was Firefly that did most of the cooking I has'nt to add:lol:
I want to see Fil2 out on one of the 620 "Standard " Monsters, if those bikes can get within a seconds, to a third place podium finnish in the S of T race on a 996 Ill take my 996 and trade it in ;)
Fil done good yesterday, as did all the racers out their and there were some good battle going on in mid field Great to watch . Highlight of my day was to see Annette Harris there giving and recieving the support I think we all needed. 4D
