Better keep those other Minichamps on a high shelf now then. ;)

antonye 07-Jun-2005 16:43

Congrats!

Our first spent the first seven days in intensive care and it's a pretty scary time, but you wouldn't know it now.

Drop me a line if you need a chat.

Jools 07-Jun-2005 16:56

Congratulations Adam, it's great to see that news on this board brings joy as well as sorrow.

Best wishes to Mum and your new arrival as well.

My wife went through the blood transfusion bit with our first child, and that was 23 years ago when you could get nasty stuff from blood transfusions, so I'm glad that things are working out for her.

Dibble 07-Jun-2005 16:59

congrats Adam, cheques in the post for the 996R ....

Rattler 07-Jun-2005 17:04

Yep you'll have to sell the 996R!! - it is my turn to have her now though anyway ;)

Many congrats mate - nice one.

Tim

Congratulations,

know how you've felt with the drama in theatre, my son's 14 months old and was delivered by emergency C-Section after 24 hours of "natural" labour ( nothing natural about that if you ask me). Being in that theatre was the only time in my life I've ever felt truly scared watching what Karen went through.

Still bothers me now, but was home a week later and is fine now

Henners 09-Jun-2005 08:10

Congratulations

Great news Adam - and well done Mrs Adam :D Makes you wonder why they ever let us near them ...

Daughters and 996Rs - life just don't get much better :sing:

baylissboy 09-Jun-2005 08:40

Congrats to your good wife & yourself!!

You'd better be selling some of those minichamps to pay for nappies!!

Deb and Georgia are doing very well now, Deb is managing to take small walks now.
The worst thing on my part is the midwifes were not letting me know what was happening with deb, I was in a room with Georgia doors shut and all i coud hear is "we nee another 4 units" then after a while "we need another 2 units" near on four hours passed with them telling me shes ok. not untill i went to them and said you better tell me now what is really happening did they go and ask the surgeon, who ten minutes later came to see me. He assured me deb was fine. When doing the c section they cut through her bladder which caused problems also the scaple cut Georgias head, bloody hell, how close are things in there? deb said at one point I can start to feel pain. No more epidural they told her, so it was put her to sleep time.

The relief to see her coming back into the room, I nearly cried like a baby.
Apparantly, Deb has told me that the worry i had endured is the same as what she goes through when I go out on my bike, if thats true which i will find out when asking her again about it then i will sell it.

Bayliss boy, I will try and hang onto the Minichamps for as long as possible, maybe they will make nice wedding presents for my TWO daughteres.

Once again guys, many thanks for all your kind words, both deb and Georgia will be home Saturday. :sing::sing::sing:
