New muppet award

Looks like Pedro will be out of action for a couple of weeks
He highsided his 749R today at cadders:( Bust his wrist, collar bone, badly swollen ankle plus one not so nice looking 748R.

pedro 11-Jun-2005 21:29

10am, wasnt doing anything mad, just feathering her around my second sech after sitting out the first due to a little rain, had slicks on,went with a set of pilot powers to pop on if weather wasnt up to much. no one their to fitt tyres as the regular guy was on his hols. i was on my last but one lap when i found the outer exit curb offered no grip to the rear slick,(was up right) whoosed me left then popped me up,bike fell on its left,i landed on my wrist-snap-crunch-.sent to hospital for x-rays,fed pain killers, wrist is in plaster at the mo,hozzi in the morn to assess etc, twisted my foot--ouch--- broke the collar bone. must re- think these track days as my wife isnt to haapy,:(. nice to see you yeti, ladybird, simon, red ruth. im off to bed:eureka:

Lose the money for the TD and put it down to experience next time fella....

Hope MRs Pedro is ok with it all...

and hope the wrist is a simple one...

Get well soon

Steve I think the track was dry at the time, Pedro got the rear wheel on the curbing exiting the hairpin. I think he might have turned in a little to early. The rear spun out and when it made contact with the tarmac and gripped again, spat him off in protest.

Simon Reed 12-Jun-2005 12:01

Don't think he was even on the gas !,were you pete ?

we'll put it down to a racing incident !,all the top racers/riders use this cover all term !

get better soon, pete, them san miguels in the coming weeks, will speed the recovery up m8 !

Damp was the operative word Weeksy, there was not much, and even so there was bags of grip even for slicks which I was also running. Damp on painted kerbing is a different matter.

GWS Pedro :sing:

Guido 12-Jun-2005 22:48

Sorry to read this Pedro,

The bike will heal. Glad to hear your injuries will also heal in time - That's 2. You might get lucky 3 times and find that Mrs Pedro will soon calm down too.

Take it easy mate.

Regards, Guy

pedro 13-Jun-2005 19:18

im on the long road to recovery now, collar bone kills like hell, carnt get comfy at all.wrist is ok at the mo till i see the specialist tomorrow afters.decided to not to track again this year as i wont be 100% till mid august, i dont want to risk any mone breaks as ive now had both collar bones broke:P.

Jon 13-Jun-2005 21:42

Make sure they plate them well Pedro. You don't want yout head rolling off:lol:

ziggi 15-Jun-2005 10:28

took me six months before my collar bone felt anywhere near how it used to. Couldn't sleep on my right side for 3 months. Still have a massive callious after healing.

I feel your pain.:sniff:

jodycraw 15-Jun-2005 14:10

I broke my collar bone when I was 18 and was mountain biking (gently though) after 3 weeks. Best to keep it active and don't use the sling, that way the muscle doesn't waste away too much

kwikbitch 15-Jun-2005 23:40

Sorry to hear the news Pedro...Hope you are all mended soon and back out on two wheels ASAP:(

Jon 15-Jun-2005 23:49

Pedro is not feeling very well tonight folks. He had his wrist pinned and wired today.
