Weekend Rideouts - Severe Weather Warning

As there appear to be lots of DSC stuff on this weekend including Raid The Lakes, other ride outs and some shoddy 600 racing thought I'd give you guys a heads up .....

All due respect to the BBC weather forecasts on the telly, but I think the website 5 day report just relies on a big random spool of symbols like you get on a fruit machine and they just spin it round one symbol a day.

 superb analogy ...

Use the forecast for Thetford as that's only 2 or 3 miles up the road from Snetterton, compared to the 15 or more to Norwich:

Incidentally, it shows exactly the same :D

anyone want to buy a nice rs800 skiff?? only 6 metres of carbon mast sticking up off hull and you steer it with a 2 metre carbon pole attached to the hull, even a wet weather bike ride is safer :) :0

psychlist 23-Jun-2005 15:51

Wetsuits get checked at scrutineering too do they

Guido 23-Jun-2005 20:08

Well, b@gger me.

You don't say Knockhill is gonna be bathed in sunshine all weekend do you Mr Met Office....????

I doubt it!!!!!!

TP 24-Jun-2005 10:24

The severe weather warning is valid for nearly the whole country except the Eastern County's, which includes Snetterton. Check out Dibble's link above, it's been updated.

Weather for Snet is light rain tomorrow after thunderstorms today and tonight. Sunday looks sunny for the 8 hour boys.

antonye 24-Jun-2005 10:31

East Anglia has it's own micro climate, and rain is very, very unlikely there.

If it does rain, chances are it will be dry for the race in the evening anyway.
