My first bike was a Honda c50. I swear I had more fun on that than any bike I have had since!

At 16 i had Yamaha's version.. The Townmate It was an 80cc but registered as a 50cc. And i painted it in Marlboro colours even managed to shoehorn a Gianelli Exhaust on to it. 65 mph it used to do I was the one to beat. Wish i had a pic of it.

Nah,

The Brough and the Britten for me, alongside my Ducati of course.

IT was fantastic to be reminded of the Britten, and what a marvel that was, really leading the way for a lot of GP technology today.

rockhopper 28-Jun-2005 09:33

The Brough sounded gorgeous didnt it?

I've just got to own a 916 one day though. Best looking bike in the programme.

Ozz 28-Jun-2005 10:06

The 916 had to be there. But seeing the Britten again stirred up all sorts of memories from seeing the Britten Story.

Thought it was funny where Jay Leno was talking about his Y2K melting the car behinds bumper.

I missed up until number 6, did the RD250LC get a mention?

JPM 28-Jun-2005 11:18

No mention of the RD

I quite liked the V8 Guzzi, always have time for the Britten what a feat of engineering from a guy in his garage!

Obviously the 916 is such an iconic bike, might have come second to a Honda Cub (C50/C90) but they have sold 40 million

Ozz 28-Jun-2005 12:09

At least they didn't drop the 916 off a building!

MJS 28-Jun-2005 13:00

The Silver 916 Senna looked absolutely gorgeous though.... wouldn't mind one of those!!
