It can be interresting... I'm developing a little web based system. The aim is to review our improvements. If you want to be in the game (I may have finished this tonight), could you give me your best race lap time for each meeting? I just want one time per meeting (not per race), and it has to be taken during a race. It will be fairer I think. So if you could just add to this topic a line like the one below: 'Antoine Josserand' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '52.83', 'CC' => '1.32.02', 'SP' => '1.28.04') Just changing the rider name, the engine size and the times (CP for Cadwell, CC for Castle Combe and SP for Snet). Thanks in advance for your help... Tonio |
'Tony Perrin' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '50.84', 'CC' => '1.27.59', 'SP' => '1.24.46') |
'Nick Boustead' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '51.10', 'CC' => '1.26.62', 'SP' => '1.26.79') |
'Geoff Spencer'=>array('class'=>'618,'CP'=>'47.81','CC'=> '1.22.32','SP'=>'1.21.64') [Edited on 28-6-2005 by boggy 8] |
'Kevin Ellis' => array('class' => 583, 'CP' => '52.58', 'CC' => '1.29.27', 'SP' => '1.29.74') and I think Geoff has had a few spaces disapear, bit like he does on his bike. So I though I would add them back in 'Geoff Spencer' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '47.81', 'CC' => '1.22.32', 'SP' => '1.21.64') probably both wrong now 'Kevin Palmer' => array('class' => 675, 'CP' => '56.62', 'CC' => '1.33.70', 'SP' => '1.32.73') [Edited on 28-6-2005 by skidlids] |
'Dominic Cann' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '50.88', 'CC' => '1.27.75', 'SP' => '1.23.94') |
and I think Geoff has had a few spaces disapear, bit like he does on his bike. So I though I would add them back in Thanks Kev i'm not to hot on these computers,maybe I should have gone to school after all. |
'Paul Sutliff' => array('class' => 583, 'CP' => 'DNS', 'CC' => '1.37.55', 'SP' => '1.32.54') Sorry Antoine, I don't know how you would want to record my "Did Not Start" from Cadwell Park? |

Geoff those laptimes are rubbish - you need to get some more practice in! |
Shurrup TP, I just reduced my deficit to 2.3 seconds a lap from about 15 seconds. Geoff, your lap times are fine - in fact you can slow waaaaaaaaay down if you like ;) :D |
I won't embarrass myself ta ! |
'Tim Howard' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '52.91', 'CC' => '1.29.07', 'SP' => '1.25.74') Thanks Tim |
First release: http://southwick.dyndns.org/desmodue/performance.php This script can't say who's the fastest (we don't need any geek stuff to know...) but who's improving their riding (or going slower than before compared to other riders...). The important thing is the final score, the more negative it is, the best it is. Any suggestion to improve it will be welcome. |
Well Tim with an improvment of 2.9% and all the others dropping off so far. It won't be long before your winning;) |
Ahh, I see. So it shows the selected riders lap times as a percentage of the others. So my Snetterton lap time was 102.8% of Geoff's and 99.4% of TP's. Oooh, my Lap times growth is: -9.1 % Is that good? :D [Edited on 28-6-2005 by domskidue] |
I wanted to know if I was going to be slow all my life :D |
Tomorrow evening I'll try to display a "top times decrease" standing :eureka::eureka: |
Quote:
No Dom, you had an unfair advantage:P |
Gonna send a few hours trying to make some sense of it all - great idea though Tonio. Tim |
And also I think adding all percentages is not the good thing, but I don't remember how to make an average with positive and negative values :D |
Quote:
What? Being a fast rider? :lol: |
-22.6% :o So I'm comparatively a quarter better at Snett than I was at CC and a whole 6% better against Skids than I was at CC :smug: Oh well, now for the downward spiral :P |
'richard thirkettle' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '53.32', 'CC' => 'dns', 'SP' => '1.26.18') |

Maybe Not Geoff, I think the hours spent messing around on motorbikes as a kid has paid off. :D |

Dickie I think you've got the wrong idea mate. You're supposed to put your fastest laps in there! Oh ... :lol: MIAOW!!!! |
yep, thats what i like, keep it coming. :D everyone ahead of me at the moment feel free to poke fun and take the **** out of my performances. i dont bear grudges...........much! :devil: revenge is a dish best served cold. ;) |

Bring it on Dickie, I'll be waiting for you ... as usual ... ;) |
my laptimes 4.8% behind you at cadwell park 2.03 % behind you at snetterton i see a pattern emerging here: ??? % ahead of you at donington |
Quote:
Are you about to make a prediction? Don't be shy. |
all i will say is: the gap is getting smaller my confidence is going up donington will suit me you do the maths.....................:D:D:D no, realistically cant see me battling with you at donington but hope to keep improving. will be aiming for top 10 although will not be easy. but really looking forward to it. wish it was this weekend! |
'Alastair Bisson' => array('class' => 674, 'CP' => '50.94', 'CC' => '1.26.95', 'SP' => '1.24.72') |
I think that the format is ok - apart from the slow times! 'Paul Payne' => array('class' => 674, 'CP' => '52.3', 'CC' => '1.27.03', 'SP' => '1.24.63') |

The current table shows me as over 34% worse now than when we started, yet my Lap times compared to Geoffs have only changed by -0.1% and 1% worse off compared to Fil2,With me loosing out at Snetterton to every current rider listed. So how much of thiis is down to the riders other than Geoff improving and how much is down all those riders with 620s making extra use of their straigtt line speed at Snetterton. |
You're 583 is almost as fast (as slow) as my 620. Antonye's one is much slower than yours I think. I checked this. Anyway I think the way I coded this script is wrong. I should just deal with one reference time (the fastest rider) and then getting percentages from this time. And then checking how these percentages evolve. I think Geoff is gonna be the reference rider for a while... |
'Mike Atack' => array('class' => 618, 'CP' => '57.61', 'CC' => '1.36.37', 'SP' => 'dns') |
