Donny.! Camping.!

I know its early doors but whats the crack with camping at donny...??...

IS it first come first served for Pits....and do we camp outside the gate.?..

cheers

Phil..............

As a note TEAMF3 will have the " FORDIE" BBQ in full affect Friday night..come join us for a Snag and cola.... ;)

You won't get a garage unless you have booked and paid for one. Camping is in the paddock, which since this is a Superclub round will be pretty full by about Friday lunchtime-you guys have a bit of a shock coming when you see the type of setup some people have, and the money spent....:o

IF you remember the motorhome that Ferrari Pete was staying in at Cadwell-well it's not unusual................my old Hymer is definately the low status end of the paddock.

I've asked for a garage - we shall see if we get it. Guess theres room for about 4 folks in a garage.
I'm happy to share if you make the tea and provide the biccies ;)

skidlids 01-Jul-2005 14:24

Lin if you get a garage you will no doubt be sharing it with at least 3 or 4 others who have also asked for garages, once you know what garage you are in you are usally allowed to swap with somebody in another garage if you want to try and team up with somebody.

Monty it's not going to suprise me I have seen it all before.

I will try and get there mid afternoon and set up in the main paddock away from the garages.
No doubt the paddock bar will be open in the evening as well as the Redgate pub.

bradders 01-Jul-2005 14:33

pub....bar....looks like I will be camping in suppoort Fri night then, will spectators be able to camp in with the racers?

TP 01-Jul-2005 14:44

We haven't been given our alloctions yet, in fact I haven't even entered yet!

Will let you know if I have a spare one after we know how many we get :D

psychlist 01-Jul-2005 14:45

Think we all made an impressive sight at Snetterton.
Loads of tarmac at Donny - tent pitching might be difficult.

I usually try to park between the paddock bar and the Redgate pub, right down at the bottom, next to the big concrete blocks (they come in handy for sitting on) close to the toilets there is a cupboard with electrical hook-ups and my lead will reach, always handy for a electric kettle etc.

All round Kev's for early cuppa then ;)

skidlids 01-Jul-2005 17:45

During Friday evening you can set up BBQ's the other side of the blocks, but the Marshalls etc park there on race day.
Also its not far from scrutineering which they quite often carry out on Friday evening

Is this some form of new way of attracting a certain kind of sponsorship? Does it involve hands on hips, pouting and calling everyone 'luvvie'?

Just curious (but not in that way!!!)

Bit awkward as the paddock is all hard standing and there are big fines for anybody caught damaging the surface.
Just to the left of th e gate when you come into the paddock there use to be a area of grass where a few tents use to pitch up, not sure if they have altered that lately.

Glyn have you got a caravan again or even a coach like last time

Ohhhhh... you biiiitch! You're such a tease! Just 'cos Phil plays for both teams doesn't mean he's willing to wear pink arseless leathers and high-heeled Sidis just to attract a few quid.

Scooter916 02-Jul-2005 19:20

No battle bus this time Kev, Just the trusty old scooter shop van, If the accountant gives me permission to SPEND SPEND SPEND this year I will have a new bigger van and a caravan me thinks, but that does depend on how many immigrants i have to support with my astronomical tax bill.
