Big up to Dibble

A great day out at Brands today and big thanks to Dibble for organising, arranging the discount, and generally making everyone feel very welcome.

The whole day saw about 15 seconds of rain and all the hoohaa about having one less session seemed redundant with most people looking cream-crackered at the end of it.

Bungi 04-Jul-2005 20:47

A GREAT DAY:bouncy:

superb to see so many ducati's together and meet other members

Rattler 04-Jul-2005 21:15

Yep - good on Dibble for the hospitality and much appreciation to Rob (electricsheep) who sorted out my entry for the day.

Redruth 04-Jul-2005 21:41

Yes, well done Dibs. My antipathy about Brands GP has been completely vanquished. I am now just $h!t scared of it :lol:

Awesome track, huge, technical, I thought, and absolutely cream crackering. Lovely to see all the DSC peeps - thanks to Ericthered for sorting my chain out and to Rob (Electricsheep) for finding my helmet, which I inexplicably left in the wrong garage and couldn't find at the start of the last session before lunch.

Another great DSC day out.

Looking forward to TA4 now. :D

Cheers dibble great day till last session for me (im sure he will post the pics for you all to ponit and laugh!) but hey one low side and great time playing in the gravel!

Good to see so many ducatis there and so polite too!

ali 04-Jul-2005 22:19

Cheers Pietro. Nice bit of organisation and surprisingly few donuts gags!

Cheers,

Ali

pguenet 04-Jul-2005 22:29

Thanks Pietro for sorting this out. Unfortunately I had a problem and did not manage to go out much, incidentally showing the grumpy side of me too!!

Oh well, new ECU is coming, back at Nelly in a week and all that should be history and should go back to play out!

Big up to Moto Louigi / Richard as well for offering advises and carrying quite a stock of spares.

Hmmmm those Desmo due bikes look good... expect me to come out and play next year! ;)

Only there as a spectator, but had a great day, good to see the club members enjoying themselves and the day seemed to be very well run, and everyone appeared to be riding very respectfully.

Well done Dibble et.al. Almost wished I entered:(

electricsheep 04-Jul-2005 22:57

Thanks Pietro for getting things organised so well, Also thanks to Apex for a well run day.

A big thanks to whoever arranged for 100% suspension to be there. saved my day by fitting new fork seals, great job

Rob

Loz 04-Jul-2005 22:58

Big, big thanks to Dibble for the trackday, and for being the brains behind me getting a desperately-needed clutch change done (courtesy of Louigimoto) in time for the first session. Unbelievable - thanks Richard and Tom.

Thanks to Tyreman Steve from Wraysbury Tyres for fitting yet another back tyre to my 999 (the previous two, no fault of Steve's, were starting to self-destruct). Cheers Steve for sticking to it, this time it will work out, I'm sure.

I had three great sessions in the morning and three interesting laps after lunch, running on one cylinder (and still overtaking a couple of bikes  ) and that was my lot, but I reckon it was a good day all the same.

Finally, a big thank you to James Jamcoly and Paul Psychlist for their help getting me home. Bacon definitely saved there.

What a Club.

:D :D :D

ericthered40 04-Jul-2005 23:22

Thanks Mate for a top day

Brands GP rocks best £170 I’ve ever spent

You must have prayed as hard as I did for that weather

The sun shines on the DSC ;)

TP 04-Jul-2005 23:26

Thanks Pietro, it was a great day. I love that circuit and I know a lot of Aussies that would love to ride it and I've done it now. Check that one off life's 'to do' list.

I love that section out the back, the GP bits!

Great idea having lunch there, got everyone together and was nice and relaxed day. It was nice to do a track day with no pressure for a change.

wosser 04-Jul-2005 23:29

Just to echo the above posts thanks for good day out and keeping the rain away

Mr_S 04-Jul-2005 23:29

Huge thanks to Dibble, not only for sorting out the day, but also for the offer of a place to crash. Although being as organised as usual I forgot his number and missed out on the mexican :(

Excellent day, and what an introduction to Brands, GP circuits now my favourite of all those I've ridden. Although starting the day in the kamikaze group (coloured blue) did have me worried, a quick chat with the staff had me located in the far more appropriate yellow (yes I was scared :o ) group.

And a final thanks to >insert appropriate deity here< for saving the rain until I was half an hour into the journey home with the bike strapped to the trailer.

See you all at Cadwell :)

JPM 05-Jul-2005 00:06

Just got back after a 5+ hour journey round the M25, M1 and finally M6, I'd just like say thanks to Dibble for letting myself and Lily crash at his, even gave up his bed, although I did feel a hairy arm round me in the night :o (Lily should really shave more!!! )

Good day today, took some time getting my head round the place, nice to see some old faces and some new, and most of all come back in one piece with a smile on our faces.

Also like to say thanks to Gary and Catherine for organising a great day with lunch and classroom sessions laid on also, apart from the odd muppet coming off (non of us I don't think) it was a trouble free happy day.

Anyway... off to bed! laters

VanDaMauler 05-Jul-2005 00:18

Yep!!! Nice one Dibbs.:biaggi:

Top day out, well worth every penny.

Lily 05-Jul-2005 08:33

Thanks from me too mister :D

Great evening with great company followed by a great day on an 'interesting' track.

Struggled to get to grips with the track a bit and having to slow down on the straights to cough didn't help my day. After lunch proved to be a whole lot of fun and getting into the DD spirit by having a last session spent dicing with Rattler on the monnie.

Thanks to Gary and Catherine for keeping things going despite all the red flags and muppets throwing themselves into the gravel!

See you all next year...

dickieducati 05-Jul-2005 09:11

thanks to dibs and rob for sorting out my entry.

great day, with great people shame couldnt chat to more people but as ever always busy on a trackday. apex ran it well. the lunch idea is superb and was enjoyed by everyone.

one little gripe (and it is very little) but too many red flags in the fast group 3 in first 2 sessions. dont know if this was down to marshalls or organisers. no one was hurt in the incidents but sessions were stopped. cant the bikes just be 'haybailed' and collected at end of session?

didnt really detract from what was a really great day, with really great people on a really great circuit.

beancounter 05-Jul-2005 09:45

DIBBLE - can't thank you enough mate.

fatduke11111 05-Jul-2005 09:58

Dibbs top chap...great stuff - never cacked myself so much. Brands fantastic place to play, even in the novice group. Met some nice peeps too.

Apart from hitting a false neutral on clearways and nearly ending up in the kitty litter, I had a fantastic time. I thought the 10 mins sessions with Apex were good as well.

Look forward to getting another one sorted ;)

Anyway great track, great day, great fun.

Cheers

Paul

psychlist 05-Jul-2005 11:23

Thanks Dribble mate

Most enjoyable trackday I've had in yonks Pietro, especially once I'd moved into the mental inters. I must confess how good it feels when only 2 or 3 superbikes can pass the Monnie on the GP circuit

Well done to Gary and Catherine for an excellent trackday, well organised, plenty of track time and, with food and drink laid on, nothing to worry about during the day left us free to concentrate on the riding, still got a headache from all that concentration. Might want to get the instructors to spread themselves out on track a bit more, once or twice they were racing round together in a non-fast group. Whenever I see an instructor out on track in front of me I want to follow his lines and see how they get round, didnt expect one to try undertaking me through Surtees ;) Mustnt let these little things detract from such a marvellous experience tho!
As Bill and Ted once said - EXCELLENT!

Dibble 05-Jul-2005 12:32

cheers. but Apex take the credit ..... as well as Skidlids, without whom its unlikely I'd have seen the circuit ..... top work fella .... and Louigimotos suspension set up ... top work, still dog slow .... but safer with it ....

In reality the day was made by the people I got to spend it with ... so thank you all.

Glad to be of service Dibs, I must remember to bring more tools to trackdays, especially a 55mm tap for Cadwell.

As you say "What goes around, comes around"

As Psych points out a few unexpected on track antics, one guy on a GSXR came tearing past me on the 1st lap of one session and then carved his way through the group in front, disipte the pit lane board saying Cold tyres, no over-taking on first lap.
That and the instructor on the Hornet overtaking me under waved Yellows as we approached Cearways.

Someone tied Dibble's bike down? It looked as though it was dragged behind the van all the way.

Just curious.

Grazie Pietro, se vuoi facciamo un corso di italiano accellerato cosi' la prossima volta che sei in Ducati Bologna puoi raccontare in Italiano che sei un factory rider della "dibble corse".....

I am not translating this one...!!
Thanks Pietro and everyone of DSC that was there.
