Just seen the Red Arrows do a fly past.

WeeJohnyB 06-Jul-2005 14:10

Typical, someone posts the result....I was looking forward to seeing the replay tonight and now I know the outcome:lol:

no cows I'm afraid Keefer, but there will be some horses if you like them as well:lol:

Amazing news, our odds were 7:1, someone's made a few quid.

Anyone want to let my house for a month, easy access to all the venues?

Seems like the RTL rideout could well be oversubscribed in 2012 then?
At least the roads'll be quieter.

I wonder if house prices in and around Londinium will now go ballistic with people buying to rent/

dickieducati 06-Jul-2005 14:20

i think no matter which way you slice it it is great for london and england as a whole. i'm not especially into ethletics etc but it really will be a once in a lifetime experience to go and see some of it.

Mark 06-Jul-2005 14:25

Dickie, totally agree with you. And living close to the south coast I hope the sailing is here. Last week we've had the fleet review and festival of sea down here. Been fantastic, been good for local companies as well.

Good to see finally as a nation we can show the world what a show we can put on. This will knock the RWC in Wales into touch. You're right, once in a lifetime experiance, I'm looking forward to it.

dickieducati 06-Jul-2005 14:29

flanks if the sailing is near you, maybe we could do a reciprocal deal on a few nights stay. one stop from mine to stratford so 25 mins door to door.

i'll give you a u2u in 7 years! :lol::lol::lol:

Mark 06-Jul-2005 14:32

 Sounds okay to me, I'll make a note in my diary chap

Loz 06-Jul-2005 22:13

Hang on, Bob, can you clarify ... are you not pleased?

neilkeogh 07-Jul-2005 09:41

I watched a little bit on the news last night before going to bed, personally can't see what all the fuss is about, our transport system is on meltdown at the moment!
What gets me is all the poxy freeloaders involved, OK for Lord Coe, but hang on Bobby Charlton, that rowing bloke, Daley Thompson...oooh is that publicity and limelight calling then best send england's finest Tory B Liar and Beckham accompanied by Livingstone, how much did that cost? :flame:
We can barely keep hospitals and schools afloat yet there will be Govt money available for all of this, just wait i can see it now fares up, council tax up etc etc
I'll finish my rant now as my Sue reckons I've thrown enough toys today!
