Bad luck Lee!!

This isnt the weather for pushing bike to the nearest petrol station!!:flame:

Ive found that since taking Cat off I've reduced the distance till fuel light down to 82 / 85 ish. Im sure it was in 90's before.

Haven't run it dry yet tho, so cant comment on how far it goes after light!!

Have you fitted your new exhaust yet? Has that made the difference?

On another note, since resolving problems with exhaust leaks on connections to the tho-pipes Ive got a cracking backfire on overrun now! Nearly blew the tiles off the inside of Mersey Tunnel on Sunday!!:lol:

I used the AA as I not used them in years and it was all up hill to.

I do have the akrapovic on now and at the 600m sevice the dealer tweaked it, I hoped it would make the fuel economy better but obviously not lol, maybe i keep revvig it to hear it to:):)

Its not to loud now just right for me:):)

Do you still have standard cans?

Heres a pic,

Hi Lee,

Nice can! Good pic! You need to lose that Cat tho!!

I still do have the standard cans on, with the straight-thro pipes.

Here's my pic..............

Lee1980 12-Jul-2005 11:54

Yeah it looks great with out the cat, just dont want it much louder than it is now, if I do change them i always have the baffles to put back in the can.

The standard cans way a ton!! i bet the cat does to:o:o

U wanna lose the mirrors to:D:D

You boy's must really be gunning it  i seems to get about mid to high 90's and that was at a track day at snetterton.

Bike has full Sparks race system  and sets of car alrams in tight streets.:lol:

can't seem to workout how to attach a picture:puzzled:

YoungDucS4R 12-Jul-2005 14:41

Hi Paul,

Im off out to see if I can do the car alarm trick!!

Ive perfected the art of the backfire!! Take it up to 6000 rpm then shut the throttle!! When it comes down to 4000......BANG!!!!!!!:devil:

Have not mastered the backfire, but it's that loud it may be backfiring and I can't tell:lol::lol:

Fuel consumption will probably alter after I get the pc fitted.:(

phil996 13-Jul-2005 14:22

Yep,I've been caught out as well.Fortunately I was walking distance from the house, outside the pub!So no AA just the good lady with a petrol can.
15-18 miles with the light on max.

Nattyboy 13-Jul-2005 19:16

Muppetary all round in here !! I ran out a couple of saturdays ago on the way back from the P&H open day in Crawley....just 18 miles after the light came on !!

Funny thing is the day before I got my best ever tank range..over 120 miles (all motorway work in heavy traffic round the M25)

Nice to know its not just mine backfiring then !!

Nat

Lee1980 13-Jul-2005 22:35
