http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...07368 28&rd=1

Buy it now at £6995... is that a bit cheap, or am I missing something?

beancounter 14-Jul-2005 10:59

That'll be a great buy for some lucky person...

No cash mate - I've just bought a 998!!

At the moment I own a 996, 998R and the monster DD bike. I need to get rid of the 996 before I have any money again!

Twinfan 14-Jul-2005 12:31

That's got to be TOO cheap surely???? What's the problem with it? Brand new they're £11k.

skidlids 14-Jul-2005 18:18

If only I had the money

pibbow 14-Jul-2005 18:53

Right Lads, give me some feed back. Is it a real bargain, What's the bhp, are they rare and any other info please. I'll purchase subject to your feed back.

Cheer Peter

Twinfan 14-Jul-2005 18:55

Rare - yes. Popular? Not really - Ducati Manchester had one in the showroom for ages.

BHP will be the same as a regular 998S.

I reckon it's worth £9k.

pibbow 14-Jul-2005 19:21

Come on any more please

You don't want that mate - they're rubbish!

You want yourself a nice 996 for less money - tuned by Sigma Performance!

sparkin 14-Jul-2005 19:30

Things are cheap in the Flatlands off Narfuk:lol::lol:

pibbow 14-Jul-2005 19:30

Thank's TP that is all I needed to hear.

Cheers Peter

It was a bit tongue in cheek mate - my 996 has about 120 horsepower at the rear wheel and is a nice bike. It's not a low mileage 998S FE though - it will have around 130 I think? A standard 996 makes around 112.

The 998 will also make different power to my 996, be a bit smoother.

Depends what you want I suppose.

But if you're interested in my 996 - just let me know :D

pibbow 14-Jul-2005 19:40

OOOOH I should have seen that. Still must have been up Norff tom long forgotten sarcasum(no sure of spelling)

I just figured you knew I was selling a 996 tuned by Sigma Performance!

I should put a post up in the market place ...

Lust4Life 14-Jul-2005 23:41

I would....

and then spend another couple of £k on bits

sparkin 14-Jul-2005 23:44

TP,has your bike been tuned by Sigma performance? ;)

What gave you that impression?

Not interested mate? For you, a special deal ;)

Gizmo 14-Jul-2005 23:50

They stil go for about 13 K new, Italia Moto in Lincoln had one a few months ago as did Duc Man, i was really interested but price stayed at around 13 so i bought a 999S instead for a lot less.

Ignore the hp info on ducati site if you check out the 04 specs, i confirmed withDUK that it is the 137 BHP deep sump engine. FE seat unit isn't that nice IMO, its got tricolour decals which don' t look that good

I`ve just had another look at the link not realising it was at CJ balls:o Saw it was Norwich, but didn`t scroll down :( They`re a big Suzuuuki and Honda dealer,,don`t normally have Italian stuff in,very respected dealer thou(so I`ve heard)Got to buy it now at that price if you were looking for one that is.I`ll try and get a look at it over the weekend if it`s still there.

I know CJBalls - very, very good reputation. Friend of mine just bought their ex-demo 'Blade, mint with only 500 miles on the clock, and he got a great deal. And another mate of mine buys his bikes from nowhere else...

Thanks, but no thanks,it hasn`t got a square headlight and is to "modern and fast" for me,I wouldn`t have an excuse for not keeping up if I had a sigma tuned 996:D

Mark 15-Jul-2005 00:09

Sparkin, i'll let you know wednesday night how quick it is :)

sparkin 15-Jul-2005 00:13

:D

I spent last night swapping the 'Aussie' shift onto the new bike and the 'English' shift back onto the 996.

It's a right geeza now innit ;)

Mark 15-Jul-2005 00:18

that twin pulse or single pulse TP?

[Edited on 14-7-2005 by Flanks]

Mark 15-Jul-2005 00:19

Anyway, all about spankin and them balls.......

sparkin 15-Jul-2005 00:19

Had another look at the link and it l;ooks like the pictures were taken at their dealership.Typical of CJball to photo the number plate, gives people a chance to HPI it before travelling, they are a very good dealer tho.

sparkin 15-Jul-2005 00:26

TP,why don`t you ride your shinny "R" up to Narfuk at the end of the month for some Fish and chips, then we can have a good ol` gander at it while you stuff yer face;)

sparkin 15-Jul-2005 00:35

Hmmmm,a deathly hush goes around the room.............just treat it as the outback:burn:

Ducnow 15-Jul-2005 00:52

Hmmm............ "Bidding has ended for this item" and no one bid?
Must be a scam.

sparkin 15-Jul-2005 09:05

Or he`s sold it thru the dealership??

I went to bed mate!

I'd like to do the Narfuk run but I fear that after being at Donny all weekend next week, TA4 on Monday that taking a day on the bike the very next weekend may not go down very well.

At all.

We'll play this one by ear.

andyb 15-Jul-2005 09:43

Surely this cant be correct? Such an iconic 'classic' shaped bike going cheap?:devil:

I have to agree with Gizmo, that is not the best looking 9** I`ve seen,it`s that seat unit, just doesn`t quite look right, says a man who rides a bike with a square headlamp:lol:
