Nelly Help Please at TA4

Hi,
Nelly, please can I have your help at TA4. My alarm ( Datatool Veto Evo ) has packed up and the bike is stuck on immobilised.
Would you be able to take a look at it to see if it’s the PCB or something silly or hot wire it for me please so I can at least fire it up for the TA4.
I have the PCB out at the moment as it says on the datatool site to leave it out for 6hrs in case its been spiked, not sure it has though. And even if I have to encode it again I hav’nt a clue which wires to do what with.
WHY this has to happen now ?
Thanks

Craig

Craig, you're not alone in your troubles...
Taking off the fairing today revealed a leak from my oil cooler :(
Pete to the rescue with that one - he's my hero once again!

On the subject of alarms - I have am evo circuit board kicking about. I'll bring it if you think ut might be a fix, but not sure if I've got the zapper for it... I'll have a look.

Nick, That may be of great help, THX please bring it. I belive there is a way to align the remotes anyhow, just that you need to put this wire here that wire there type of thing, I got the instructions which I'll bring just in case plus both my remotes.
I hav'nt a clue where to start how to bypass the alarm ?
I,m hoping someone out of 100 Duke owners must be able to get me going on Monday. May see you Sunday night as Topito and myself are staying at the same pub as Roy & Pete.
I hope you get your leak sorted nick, but Pete's the main man as you say.

Craig

Craig, isn't there an imobaliser over ride code using the start button to input the numbers?

HW 23-Jul-2005 22:18

Isn't that for the Ducati imobiliser - and it's the throttle you twist? Not sure you can do anything for the Datatool alarm like that though.

NBs996 23-Jul-2005 22:19

Not on the Evo there isn't Roy.

There is on the System 4, but no other datatool has a code override.
System 4 tested and working well... coming to a shop near you soon!

Craig, I've found the remote! Only one tho, cos I flogged the other one for a tank of petrol. What can I say, times are hard!

In which case, I stand corrected.
The Evo def doesn't tho.

Hi Craig,

I had to bypass my Datatool System 3 at silverstone last year. It's an absolute doddle so don't fret too much. Just trace the wires back to the key points on the loom (usually ignition, fuel pump, etc) and rejoin the original connection. I marked all mine with little tags of masking tape to make sure I could re-patch it after.

Don't worry about the no essential points (indicators, horn) as they can either be lived with or disconnected using the original connectors.

If all else fails just get the bike there and bring some insulation tape and a pair of wire snips!

Cheers,

Ali
