SLICK Wet Weather Suits

Has anyone bought used one of these suits (or similar)?

Are they effective (waterproof (and durable))?

They look as though they would be more compact than a standard oversuit (when not in use) and look appealing from that point of view.

However, I expect that they would probably attract a few jibes!

Sorry, but I don't know how to make the link live!

Yep, they're ace. When it rains, no one makes funny comments.

I was thinking of using them for 'touring' and want to travel light. Are they more compact?

Do they only last a few uses or are they reasonably robust?

domski 26-Jul-2005 22:09

Yep I agree with Felix.

£40 is a bargain for staying dry, and they don't look too bad either IMO.

You know you want one ;)

They're pretty good stregth pvc , very stretchy and squash down pretty small compared to your average pac-a-mac.

Wore mine for one session in the morning at Cadders and didn't know i had it on.

To use one for touring might be a bit troublesom - you can't put it on when you're already leathered up... have to dress your leathers with it first, otherwise you'll need an assistant (thanks CK xx)! But once on it'll keep your top arf dry all day long.

yeah got one, a scott leathers one. thoroughly recommend it. wipes clean easily if you use it in the bedroom too.....................................apparently .

Just don't wear it if you eat pies.

As everyone else has said, they're excellent. Bought mine last year, mainly for trackdays, but have used it on the road when getting caught in the rain.

They can be a bit challenging to get on whilst you're wearing leathers though. Much easier to fit it on first if you can.

Very nice bit of kit but don’t go in the truck stop on the A1 in it unless you want to be hung up in a back room and used for a couple of years.
:D:D:D

Thanks guys - very informative!

Might just get them.

I like the look of the see through ones (like in motogp) but I've no idea where you get them from.
