Sete to the \'Seidici next year???

That's the latest rumour. Noooooooooooooooooo!!!! Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Totto 27-Jul-2005 10:11

Why not , he's not going to beat Rossi so might as well get payed big money to lose :D:frog:

m1keyp 27-Jul-2005 10:11

At present Mr Checa and Mr Capirossi do not seem to throw it down the road to often.

That might all change if Sete is involved.

Imagine Sete and Xaus a carbon fibre suppliers dream:bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

JPM 27-Jul-2005 10:15

Last rumour I heard was Hopkins was in talks with Ducati...

Can't imagine Sete going as Ducati have a 2 year deal with Bridgestone, which for Hopkins being a current Bridgestone runner wouldn't be too bad :smug:

Twinfan 27-Jul-2005 11:24

Money could be a lure for Sete, but I can't see Honda putting a bad deal in front of him.

Pedrosa and Hayden are likely to be the Repsol team next year. I think Hayden is purely a marketing move, especially after his win in the US which has stirred up interest in MotoGP over there.

GsxrAge 27-Jul-2005 11:55

No not that Idiot :o:o

and He has got the lots of hair like Dseered :D

:lol::lol::lol:

KP 27-Jul-2005 12:24

The Hopkins to Ducati rumour is in MCN. And it's Capirossi vs. Biaggi for who gets the Honda Camel ride apparently.

Ozz 27-Jul-2005 13:24

God I hope Sete isn't on it. Nightmare.

Hopkins would be pretty good though...

macey46 27-Jul-2005 20:50

How long is the Bridgestone contract? Maybe Capirossi will stay if they switch back to Michelin? I think Hopkins would be a definate step up from Checa. Would like to see maybe Lorenzo Lanzi given a test rider role for a future ride?

macey46 27-Jul-2005 20:52

Just read 2 year Bridgestone deal on other post, oooops. :rolleye:

sparkin 27-Jul-2005 20:56

I like Hopper, dunno why,I think it could be that he realises he`s being paid to race bikes and appreciates that, like Edwards does.Whether he`d be any good I don`t know,he showed tremendous promise when he was younger tho.

macey46 27-Jul-2005 21:01

Wouldn't suprise me if Laconi got one of the rides

Clippy 28-Jul-2005 14:19

Sete won't move to Ducati for the money - he's minted in the first place - his family have shedloads of money and he worked his way up through GP on merit, refusing to use his own money, or his family connections, to buy himself a ride or secure headline sponsorship...

That's what I was told when he won his first GP at the last ever all 2-stroke race in Valencia in 2001 anyway...

Giles

JPM 28-Jul-2005 14:26

Laconi has to be being groomed for GP stardom, he's already been there so Ducati will for sure be looking at getting him onto a bike, he's tested one also I believe, although where he would end up would be another question, D'Antin on a year old bike with little support, parts or testing.

Lanzi will get his ride I guess in WSB, that's got to be a safe bet, will Toseland still have a ride though???

Still think Hopper will be the one for Ducati Corse on the factory bike, although the rumour mill has spun again suggesting Biaggi might step in to Capirossi's shoes

Twinfan 28-Jul-2005 14:43

Biaggi???? Seriously???? Thought he was after a Camel Honda ride, alongside Barros????

Lanzi on the factory WSB bike must be a cert, surely?

Can't see Laconi cutting it in GPs to be honest, and certainly not on the Corse bike. Hopper would be great though :D

Mark 28-Jul-2005 14:48

What Ducati need is Burgess...... oh and Rossi

Predict Rossi on a Ducati for his final year in 2007

It's a possibility-after all don't forget 2007 will be all new 800cc machines, so a clean slate for all manufacturers. Rossi has already stated in interview that he intends to race until 'at least the end of 2007 season' and that he could 'finish with a different manufacturer-maybe back to Honda or with someone else'.

KP 28-Jul-2005 17:29

Exactly - I would think Ducati are already talking to him. What better way for an Italian to hang up his sliders.

kp

JPM 28-Jul-2005 17:34

Do you really think Rossi will quite after 2007?

sparkin 28-Jul-2005 18:48

When we were in Cataluyna this year, the rumour flying about the paddock was Rossi to Kawasaki, they have the money, and the bike is in about the same state of developement as the Yamaha was when he went there.
I honestly beleive that he will never ride for Ducati, the PR work they`d want would not be to his liking IMHO

andys 900ss 29-Jul-2005 14:10

Thats it! make it a real challenge for Rossi, put him on the KR...... mind you, he'll still win on my 900ss.....

Hey if he does get a Ducati ride he can have my Supercorsa's to use instead of the Bridgestones:lol:

Andy

KeefyB 29-Jul-2005 23:19

Well I reckon that Sete is a truly great rider, not in Rossi's league, but hey,...who is??!!
He has had some bad luck, and that has what's stopped him being a championship contender this year.Cant see him on the Duke tho.....
