Oxon/Berks May 2013 Rideout Sunday 5th Oxon/Berks May 2013 Rideout Sunday 5th Right I have sent a communication to Rob (aka Slob) of the UK Monsters owners club to see if he is happy for us to drop by on Sunday as they have their annual weekender. Ideally we want to be there after lunch as the Monsters are assembled in to their different groups to be judged for there prize giving. So it will be a good chance to see all the different mods done to the bikes. The venue this year is Wroxton House just outside Banbury, a short journey from Chipping Norton, so not to far from my Cotswolds rideout route especially the one where we ended up hammering up Fish Hill ( I think Roy enjoyed that) Meeting up in Newbury is one option, then riding over to Wantage, on to Faringdon where we can stop for petrol again, continue to Lechlade then on to Burford and head over to Stow, possibly stopping for a break at the little cafe that helps repair clutches. From Stow its on to Toddington then Sedgeborrow and then up Fish Hill to Chipping Norton and on to the UKMOC weekender another option would be to meet at Newbury and head across country to Swindon and what was the old George Whites, stopping for a look around before heading for the Cotswold's and the UKMOC meet or if time is getting on Head back to Oxford and H-Cafe All of which would be dependent on the what the weather is doing. Thoughts please |
Cant make Sunday so out Sat, enjoy |
I'll probably already be there. Heading up on Sunday morning from East London, aiming to get there about 9ish. See you there |
Have a good ride, I cant make it as I'm of to Oulton Sat for BSB. Craig |

Newbie I would come along but I'm in Amsterdam for the weekend. I have just bought a 996s and am finishing off restoring it and getting her totally mint. I will keep my eye out for other meets. I'm near Milton Keynes. |

No probs Pete, Oxon and Berks meet is the first Sunday of every month although sometime it clashes with the Desmo Due racing which many in our group are involved in one way or another. When that does happen the Oxon/Berks meet is usually at whichever track we are racing at Second Sunday of the month we usually ride down to Popham to meet up with the Hants guys and sometimes if its just going to be a nice weekend or a open day somewhere we get the bikes out and go for a ride |
Down on the South coast over the weekend but if you are going to Swindon first will try and see if I can get a pass and meet you there. ;) |
Sounds like a plan Kev, meet Newbury first? "Fish Hill" would that be the one that was like a river  |

No Roy. its nearer to Evesham, the one with two lanes going up it and one coming down, just right for 3 bikes wide and still stay on our side of the white line Not sure if the one you treated as a slalom has a name. or should that be Salmon as They head up river in a similar manner Meet at MacDonalds Newbury, just need to decide on times |
OK, you going to FB it? |
You got a time for Newbury yet Kev? |

How about Meet up at Maccy D's in Newbury at 10:00 for a 10:30 departure |
Will anyone be out and about on Saturday as tied up on Sunday at my daughter's birthday party? |
Ok Kev see you at 10 :) |
1 Attachment(s) Run in and ready for the Cotswolds tomorrow :) |
My 11OO Monster is hopefully going to be coming out and play :) |
Great to see everybody today, 13 bikes sat outside Maccy Ds in Newbury, Not all Ducatis but the Ducati contingent was pretty good Panigale - Clint 848 EVO Corse SE - Roy 848 EVO - Buggsy 848 EVO - Bradders 1000 SS - Kev and Trudi M1100S - Garry M1100 - Me 916BP - Matt Steve and Andy from DD on there Non Ducati road bikes and a couple of other friends on a ZX6R, RSV and a BMW 1000RR And for once they had dry roads to play on, still didn't stop someone crashing and closing the road ahead of us, but at least it tied up the local plod for a while. Traffic wasn't as dense I was expecting apart from the queue to get into the Cotswold Wildlife Park, so at times we able to crack on at a fair pace Dropped by the UKMOC Weekender and caught up with a current (Jonzi) and a few Ex DDers, in Stevvvooo, Gilps and Zimbo, Also good to see Nick from Ducati Insurance the sponsors of Desmo Due's TV coverage Feels like Summers here |
1 Attachment(s) BIG thanks for a great day out Kev, 250+ miles :) |
buggeration! Was so busy i didn't check this until now.....and we live halfway between Lechlade & Burford! No worries - hope to catch y'all one day... |
Thanks for the ride out Kev. Really enjoyed the Cotswolds. And the traffic wasn't bad for a bank holiday weekend. And we went to a wedding as well :-) |
Great ride out Kev, and we got to park in the main show!! |

Remind me! Who are you  Just been catching up on the racing from Oulton and in the Triumph Challenge they mentioned a couple of places Lower Compton and Milton under Wychwood. We passed close to both places on Friday, must remember if we come across a Triumph 675 on those roads it might just be worth leaving them alone Just like avoiding a few bikes that get out together up by Buckingham, Ian Wilson, Danny Beaumont and Dave Summerton are a bit quick |
