Donny race entry....

...got my entry details this morning, looks like its such a busy agenda that there's no seperate practice and qualifying session, just a joint practice/qualifying session.

Also the DD boys are split into two seperate sessions for qualifying (numbers 24 and below and 25 and above!!) and will qualify with either the SoT, or the Hornet and CB500 boys.

I also didn't get into the SoT, so can focus on DD only - blimey!!!

Should be very interesting!! - glad I got to Donny this week for some practice. ;)

Racing starts at 11.15, and by the looks of it we'll be 4th or 5th out, so circa 12.30 for the first race - maybe?

Busy, busy, busy.......

Tim:ninja:

ali 06-Aug-2005 11:24

I'm in exactly the same boat. DD only and qualifying with the SoT guys. Bloody glad I did a TD now!

Cheers,

Ali

Rattler 06-Aug-2005 11:31

Yep, not sure if we're better off qualifying with the SoT boys or the Hornet CB500 guys????

Woteva - bring it on!!!!;)

Riding on this track for the very first time it wont make any difference to me, I'll be watching them whizz past and rapidly disappear into the distance anyway!

Same here :(

...and only 6 lap dashes!!

Bit peaved about the SoT and only a single 10 min qualifying.

It costs the same as all the others, the track is the same length as Castle Combe, and we got 20 mins practice/qually and 8 lap races at CC

...better get those starts nailed then :o

Not too fussed about that, just less time for me to bin it or my engine to go bang!

domski 06-Aug-2005 12:00

...but it takes me 7 laps to get going :sniff:

phoenix n max 06-Aug-2005 12:00

Qualifying with the SOT's ? - Ooooo nooo !

6 laps - hmmm - I warm me tyres up for 1 1/2 of those. On the other hand 6 laps - hmmm - I just might not get lapped this time ( I wish ! )

Oh well - should be fun anyhooo :)

NBs996 06-Aug-2005 12:11

Lin, what did you do to bag a garrage!

phoenix n max 06-Aug-2005 12:15

Yay - got me entries and yup got a garage - cool :D

Paid me £20 Nick and took me chance :)

dickieducati 06-Aug-2005 13:02

could be very interesting with only qualifying and split in 2 groups. could be all over the place. willl be very intersting if it either starts raining os drying out betwen the 2 sessions:o

domski 06-Aug-2005 13:25

Will the lower numbered DD riders have a easier time with the faster(?) Sound of Thunder grid, or will they get in the way mid corner?

How about the Hornets and CB500's? Being of similar lap time to the DD, will the higher numbered DD riders have it easier in qualifying?

Hmmm... Tough **** springs to mind :(

dickieducati 06-Aug-2005 13:47

i recon sot will be the better place be.

but then what do i know............jack.

domski 06-Aug-2005 13:53

Who's this 'Jack' you speak of? :puzzled:

Loz 06-Aug-2005 13:54

That'll be "JD" - he's an old friend of mine ;)

AK 06-Aug-2005 14:09

so, If doing SOT, will you get 2 qualifying, if you are a higher number?:puzzled:

and Dickie - long term forecast is currently wet! - but you never know....

C, not seen the paperwork yet

domski 06-Aug-2005 14:10

I don't think any DD riders have been accepted in Sound of Thunder.

I think it stinks - personal view of course ;)

AK 06-Aug-2005 14:13

OK, best I bell Andy then - cos I know he sent that entry in a long time ago:rolleye:

Oh, and looks like we might well have a jockey for the last meeting too, now:devil:

C:smug:

TP 06-Aug-2005 16:25

Great ... 6 lap races with my starts ...

May as well give up any hope of moving up the championship ... :(

I'm going to leave that last comment well alone ...

Andy#99 06-Aug-2005 18:18

Hmmmmm!

Why didn't they put all the DD bods out together in one group and then put the SOT and CB 500s in another, then they wouldn't have run the risk of half the field qualifying in the wet and the other half in the dry?

Is that too obvious?:puzzled:

Andy #99

butch890 06-Aug-2005 19:21

Our entry's arrived ,DD but no SOT (have to leave the baby R at home then) practice sucks!

fil2 08-Aug-2005 09:36

its gonna be a brain out qually session then.............

where to find 3 seconds lol............................

better lift the " game " up a level..............

dickieducati 08-Aug-2005 10:50

you're lucky you're only looking to fing 3 seconds. im looking at trying to find getting on for 10 seconds!

fingers crossed but it really does look like this could be a wet weekend.

could make for a very interesting qualifying/race. last one standing to win it?

Me as well. I thought maybe it could have been a better idea not to ride there...

let's play Toca 2 again and again... :(

There's no practicing at Donny - you don't go there to find your form, you go there because you've got some!!! ;)
