Ducati coventry/JHP prize

Just returned from JHP (yes again!) and was talking to John about DD, as you know he has offered a prize to the best prepared PRIVATEER Dd bike, he hopes to get to donnington on saturday to have a look at the bikes and may well make it to one of the remaining rounds .
Anyway the prize he has offered is a full rebuild for the engine of the bike that he selects as the best prepared.
This very generous offer is worth a minimum of £800 .
His other offer is to supply any new 620 monster for next year at cost price.

i hope he checks them before the race, might not be too pretty after the races!

domski 10-Aug-2005 19:01

Free rebuild with cheese con-rods and lead pistons

I like his style.

I'll rebuild everyones engines for next season :D

...seriously though, that is a top prize!!

What is a 'Privateer' entry?

Who's on the factory bikes?

TP 10-Aug-2005 19:04

That's an outstanding prize!

Well done Mr Hackett

ali 10-Aug-2005 19:16

That's seriously generous, although I think he might reconsider if he saw the state of my engine! Well done JHP, I'll have the rose-tinted specs ready for when you get to No 7..... :D

Where does our bike fit in? Coz it is damn pretty :D

...I'll ring Rich in a bit and get the painter to rustle up a red frame ;)

However, I think I'd have to pass the prize on - would be nice recognition for Louigi though eh.

Oh look at me, winning it already

Is there a prize for bullcrap? :D

Rattler 10-Aug-2005 20:36

sounds like top prizes!!!

does the rebuild prize include parts , gaskets etc.. ?? or is it just labour thats free? may get a bit expensive if you have to start buying valves, collets, bottom end shells, pistons, pins etc...??? dont meen to sound negative but if its a case of by a grands worth of parts and he'll fit them free then it will only benefit the racers who could affort to pay for a rebuild anyway??

I may have got this wrong? please set me striaght if i have.

barnsey 15-Nov-2005 06:12

i'm sure this has been put on here already but who won this then????

skidlids 15-Nov-2005 09:01

Senna3 won the prize for His gloss black with red wheels 600SS featuring home made underseat exhaust
