Twinfan 11-Aug-2005 13:05

Me too...

Rob B 11-Aug-2005 13:07

Nat,

I've exchaned a few mails with Mark. He, and a number of other regulars on the 851 board, are top guys. Lots of experience and total Ducheads.

What a complete bastid!!

Not jealous at all, ... much ... maybe a little ...

Redsps 11-Aug-2005 13:50

can't really say much other than , lucky , lucky , lucky git bag.

how do people manage it, really nice kit indeed.

keep up the good work.:D:D:D

cheers

"how do people manage it, really nice kit indeed."

Probably been at it longer than us and has known what he likes from the outset. Buys nice keepers......Sits in the armchair and admires, well, that's until the next track day at Gratten, Laguna or where ever.

Rgds, Rob

Nattyboy 11-Aug-2005 14:17

He certainly uses them Rob doesnt he ?... he uses his 984 for short 'high torque tracks'..:o

The very thought of tracking such a piece of exotica horrifies me !!!

Nat

Redsps 11-Aug-2005 14:23

nat, are these bikes he has at present, or had over the years.

Rob B 11-Aug-2005 14:29

All now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nattyboy 11-Aug-2005 14:36

Hes also sent me some nice detail shots of the corse mods to his SP2 if anyone would like to see them..?? Its basically as they would have raced them in 1990, down to the rev counter and period brembo monoblocs - god only knows where he got the bits from..!!!

Mind you - his works e-mail address is 'nasa.gov.' so hes obviously not short of a few quid !!

Superb looking bike, and shockingly clean :o

Rob B 11-Aug-2005 15:27

Nat,

I've tried, but she won't let me. Good luck with your fund manager:D:D:D

Redsps 11-Aug-2005 17:45

me thinks a career move is on the cards, need to earn some serious wonga for some serious hardware now.

weeveetwin 11-Aug-2005 20:01

Nice bikes Nat. Have you seen Mike C's SPC? Amazing spec. - inc. CF wheel rims! He also has an original 888SPS. (and did he say an MV America too..?)

Redsps 11-Aug-2005 20:16

not sure about the colour, what is the spec, awsome swinging arm setup and rims aswell.

Rob B 11-Aug-2005 20:34

Robin,

I saw that Mike had recently registered on the DSC and had made a few posts. He may pop by later to fill you in on the spec. It wants for nothing though.

Rgds, Rob

I think I know where there`s a set of those calipers going cheap, they come off a bimota if I recall correctly.

Great pictures Nat:D

RightSaidFred 11-Aug-2005 22:53

Ooohhhhh mmmmmmm! Cooler than the other side of the pillow, those babies

yellow916 12-Aug-2005 09:39

Mike C

If you're on the board - what are the exhausts on your SPC? I imagine they sound rather good (and don't look too bad either)...

Andrew

Rob B 12-Aug-2005 16:01

Titianium reverse Contis. Headers are Ti too, if I remember correctly.

Redsps 12-Aug-2005 17:58

the more i look at that bike rob, the better it looks.
that bike in yellow is growing on me rapidily.
must have cost a fortune.

weeveetwin 12-Aug-2005 18:30

Guys...

If I remember right, Mike C reckons he's spent around $60,000 on this bike. I've read its full spec. somewhere, but can't seem to find it. I'll keep looking! (I do know it makes around 126 rear wheel BHP - approx. 140BHP at the crank - and it's a good deal lighter than the SPS he also owns).

My mate john russells SP5 is pretty trick to (although not to everyones taste !!)..for those who havent seen it ..

Redsps 12-Aug-2005 18:39

hmmmmm, has got lots of goodies on it .
not sure about the wheel colour and red seat though, would like it better with both wheels black and a black seat cover.
callipers look a bit too big for me, otherwise really nice, just my opinion on a boring friday afternoon.;);)

byeeeee

gary888 12-Aug-2005 19:27

The jury is out for me Nat. I don't dislike it, it's just that they're soooooo sexy as standard- even after all these years! Good on your mate for daring to be different :)
regards,
Gary.

Redsps 12-Aug-2005 19:53

what are those calipers on mikes spc.

gary888 12-Aug-2005 20:00

Don't know how to insert a previous reply (Luddites up here, you know!), but in reply above Sparkin reckons they are off a Bimota.
