first race is race 6 of the day and will be after lunch

Both practice sessions for Sounds of Thunder are directly before DD. Better not bin it then!:o

We're all in together for both untimed and timed... Can't be many CBs or Hornet on the grid???

I've never done a timed practice - all the classic and vintage first race grid positions are pre-allocated.

mormally 15 mins free practice and 15 mins qualifying.

you need to complete 3 laps to qualify. grid positions for both races on qualiflying time.

re gearing: i've got a little one on the front and a bigger one on the back. seems to work for me.

It saves a huge amount of time, and allows them to run more race classes !

yeah, but the trouble is, you could end up with a muppet like me on the front row getting in everyones way!

proper qualifying is safer imho.

Gearing,no 78 14/47 ,no 77 14/48 .
Dosn't really matter much to a seasoned campaigner like me!
