Both practice sessions for Sounds of Thunder are directly before DD. Better not bin it then!:o

Looks like it's going to be a great round. :D :D :D

If we are that will be a very busy session!

Could be good for overtaking practice .... and that's about it!

We're all in together for both untimed and timed... Can't be many CBs or Hornet on the grid???

phil_h 02-Sep-2005 10:55

How long are the sessions ?
I've never done a timed practice - all the classic and vintage first race grid positions are pre-allocated.

(Not intimidated at all really)

And another thing - what gearing are you guys using ???

15/32 Phil, honest :P

dickieducati 02-Sep-2005 11:01

mormally 15 mins free practice and 15 mins qualifying.

you need to complete 3 laps to qualify. grid positions for both races on qualiflying time.

re gearing: i've got a little one on the front and a bigger one on the back. seems to work for me.

15 front 39 rear..................

:P

depends what bike u r on dude...........?

TP 02-Sep-2005 11:10

I'll be running 14/46 on the monster - it's the shortest gearing I have.

Anyone got a 48 rear to lend me?

dickieducati 02-Sep-2005 11:14

go on then 14/48 seeing as we are being all sensible today

It saves a huge amount of time, and allows them to run more race classes !

yeah, but the trouble is, you could end up with a muppet like me on the front row getting in everyones way!

proper qualifying is safer imho.

butch890 02-Sep-2005 12:57

Gearing,no 78 14/47 ,no 77 14/48 .
Dosn't really matter much to a seasoned campaigner like me!
