Very well done Kev |
well done Kev:cool: all good practice for a podium finish at Brands next w/end mate:D C xx |
That's excellent, Kev! You must be chuffed to bits that you were able to score a podium with project designed to minimize costs. Good on you to show them up! Would have like to seen it. |
Thanks for al the kind comments, I will do a report at some point. In the second race (The final) I was 18th on the Grid from the quallifying and last into the hairpin. Finished 14th overall and the last person on the lead lap with only 2 Minitwins ahead of me with the 2nd placed one about 3 to 4 seconds ahead of me. |
Looking forward to the full report. But again, top job, Kev. |
Nice one Kev:o Knee down What ever next......... glyn |
Nice one mate, It was good to see you at Pembrey, I guess now you have one less job to do with the angle grinder what with all these knee down antics! Saw you got the old girl into the elevens as well - tidy job! We need to see a lot more DSC members on the grid next year in what has to be the friendliest paddock anywhere, we'll have to have a chat about that but if any of you members read this and are interested in racing in Sound Of Thunder or Mini Twins next year and want have a chat about it either u2u me or give me a buzz on 07970 658533. |
I'm interested in the occassional MT outing next year. Not sure about SOT... big too 'lively' for me! |
Garry I was chatting to Dallas earlier and he is now thinking more seriously about riding my M620S in the DD series and funds permitting could also do some MT with NG as well as enter his ZX10R in either Open or Powerbike for only a small extra cost. Dallas and Myself have already raced in SoT with NG and now so has Domski, I met Glyn (Scooter916) when we both started racing in the NG 600 class, as you say a friendly paddock and a place to forge some great friendships. At Silverstone last October I talked to Nino about running the DD bikes within MT and he thought it a sound idea. My best lap as you say was a 1m 11.6s, which is 4 secs slower than either my 916 or R6, was 1/10th slower than Harry Buckle on his ZX10R in the first powerbike race and was faster than the odd bigger bike like a R1, R6, GSXR600, FZR600R, SV650, 996 My entry cost me £80 for the two races, normally £70 but as I only entered on the Friday there was a extra £10 late entry fee. Still a bargain. Spent £80 on fuel for the Van & Bike, £10 to cross the Seven Bridge and £7.50 to have a rear Rennsport swapped from my ZXR400 rim to my spare 600SS rim. On top of that I spent £75 on a 2.5kw genny that a mate was selling and £44 on new brakepads from DTR to be fitted for Brands |
Kev, Might even see a 999R out there if Dallas's deal comes off! |
Agree with Garry's sentiments about more Ducatis on the grid. Certainly, in SOT they seem to become fewer and fewer. Maybe minitwins with a 800ss might be the next thing! Garry, we'll have to meet one of these days. Certainly, next year in a paddock if not sooner. I'm most likely to race again with DP next year, but you never know. |
