Cycle Cat Bar Riser prices/ CHEAPER !!!!! Spareshack has got back to me regarding the prices of the 749/999 Bar Riser kit. They will be in stock in about 7-10 days and they have ordered 25 sets of various colours, Silver, Titanium, Gold and Black. USA price when converted is about £200 + delivery and customs duty when they arrive, which will probably be about £260 ish (Unless you are collecting them from USA of course) UK price is £275, but if 2 people want them they will give 10% discount (£247) 3-4 20% discount ( £220 ) or if more than this they would negotiate. Well I was going to go for a set so if another 2-3 people want them the cost is only £220 which is not much more than USA collect price. [Edited on 8-9-2005 by iang] [Edited on 12-9-2005 by iang] |
If you get them sent to a ltd company address there's avery good chance you won't pay VAT on them. Not that I'd engage in such practices, obviously... |
Hi Ian, As you know I was going to get mine from the States when go over early November. If no one else wants to take up your offer, then I can get yours when I get mine (I might even be able to negotiate a discount from them as well?!) If some else from the DSC does want a pair, then add my order in with you guys and we can get them for £220 or better. Does that sound fair? Also leaves more room in my luggage for some other cycle cat goodies!!;) |
FYI - Cable is about 1.83 today which would convert to approx £188; But I guess the credit card company will use a rip-off exchange rate.:flame: |
I remebmer someone doing a clear-out of Helibars in the uk recently - sadly I look at sooo many wenpages - Ive forgot who it was...sorry !!! FOrgetful Frank |
Ive already got the heli-bars, and I would love the adjustability of the Cyclecats...but should I change? Does anyone wanna buy the heli bars off me? Decisions...decisions...:puzzled: |
I could be interested if someone could work out the price of postage to SWEDEN ?:burn: |
1 kg costs approx £9.50 if that helps? Thats postage to Sweden not anything else white and powdery before some dealer comes and takes my arm off!! |
Just looked at the currency rate, abit strong the pond compared to our kronor, but if you can get some more interested then I can still be in it;) |
iang, if you can get them for £220 or less then count me in. |
KP and Duck, along with myself that will be three orders for the risers, I have emailed Spareshack and said that I can get them for around £200 from USA and with a bit discount maybe about £180 ish with tax ( I emailed a US supplier ) so I am awaiting Spareshacks response. I have relatives going to LA next week and the US supplier will deliver to their hotel but with the goods being sold in Calafornia they are subject to 7.5% tax plus they are pushed for space and weight in their suitcase and they could be hit for import duty. Hopefully we might get a bit more discount, but even at £220 it is not a bad price ( £55 cheaper than shops ) Anyone else interested so we can negotiate more discount ? |
Right , I have negotiated with Spareshack and if I supply them with a company order with a vat number they will NOT charge the vat. This means that they will sell us the risers for £188 a set + £10 postage, this is a substantial saving ( £88 ) on the £276 retail price + postage. They would deliver them all to me for a single postal charge of £10 but it will probably cost this to send them on to the buyers anyway so it will be easier to ring them to place the order and pay by whatever means is best for you. Rick they will deliver direct to you as well but it will cost a little more for postage . The only thing is that we need at least 4 buyers, I am one, Duck and KP makes three so if anyone else is interested at this price will you please confirm here and we will try to get the ball rolling. At this price it is about the same price as the discounted price in the US. [Edited on 12-9-2005 by iang] |
