Apparently I missed quite a spectactular site - you going down the straight with the bike on fire. Didn't know there was a stunt show as well!

Shame I missed it all as I was so far back. Just came out of clearways and ran through a big cloud of black smoke and wondered who was having a bbq in the pits!

At least you've got 4 weeks to get it sorted - didn't Phil_H just acquire a spare engine...?

the belly pan looked quite spectacular as Ali went past the start finish line--it was glowing a bit!!!!!!!! looked like a mobile BBQ----commiserations and i hope you get things patched up before cadwell

If previous repairs are anything to go by, Ali will have that engine patched up already with gaffer tape and extensive hammer fettling.

First one to go pop this year though - watch out you other smokers!!

Sorry Ali...I had the best seat in the house...I followed you along the bottom straight and was 5 metres behind you at four o'clock when she blew :(. I must admit to having "Oh..goodie" "wicked thoughts" at the time which I now am trying to justify to myself in hindsight because it wasn't like you had had an off or such-like, so I knew you weren't hurt or anything...but now I am wracked with remorse for even thinking that way!

So...sorry to see you go out that way, although it indeed was spectacular. Here's hoping the recovery is both swift and not too painful on the old wallet mate.

Sorry to here about your bike Ali you can use my monster that i started to get ready for dd but its not quite ready a couple of hours will sort that, it just needs lock wire,bellypan,& a few bit taken off.
