first post & daft question
 

Hi all,
I stumbled across this board a couple of days and it really is a wealth of information. I have had my 916 for 2 years now, i had to choose between my duc or an R1, glad i chose my 916 'cause its sensational compared to my old gsxr1100. OK it dosen't have the crazy power of the R1 but boy can you carry some corner speed :)
My daft daft question is where do you all locate your tax discs, i can't find a decent location without it spoiling the bike?

Police don't seem to mind and it stops anyone taking it.

As I have to be seen to do it right(ish) I hang mine off the nearside footrest hanger:P

mine goes on where the seat sub-frame joins the frame. or have seen some to put them on the nosecone by the the grilled vent.

If its a BIP, then put it where the passenger footrest bolts to the rear sub frame.

I stick my to the headstock with some clear fablon :cool:

inside the fairing secured by the screw that holds the fairing on from underneath, ie its sandwiched between the fairing and the air tube

what's this tax disc thingy ?

Under the seat, or where the airtube bolts up to the headlamp bucket

...on the subframe, behind the foot pegs. got one of those metal hexigan shaped disc holders and screwed it to the bike. works well.
