new DD rules.............. well done to chris and monty for getting them together. no doubt there will be a bit of discussion about them, but look good to me. :D |
I'm out of the loop on this so ... Do you blokes think DD is everything to this website/club? DD this, DD that ... I'm sick of it - it's detracting from the club etc etc ... Oh dear, I'm getting my coat ... |
so where are they ? |
get off the bloody DD forum then, and get that 'DD racer no.12' thing of your signature. ;) i like the bit in the new rules about the clubs name change: DesmoDue Racing Club. brilliant idea. . . . . . . . . . .that's a joke b.t.w |

Dont like the points down to 15th rule,it does nothing to encourage the entrants running further back in the field. Butch |

It may encourage them to try harder??? You could cycle around and score points as it is this season. I think the rules are 99.9% spot on!!! (not fully read them yet) Well done to Chris and Monty - bet you didn't think I'd ever say that  :D |
Hrmm ... it's none of my business anymore and I haven't seen these new rules but I get the impression the points paying positions have been reduced to just 15? IMO that's a mistake. When we had this discussion at the AGM it was strongly felt that we should pay points down to 25th so that there was more incentive for more of the field to battle on the track and to also have their championship battles. This change prevents that and isn't in keeping with the novice series format that we were trying to build. Was there a push led from someone to have this changed? |
Forgive me please:puzzled: What is DD and where are the rules???? |
as one who is likely to 'suffer' from the change, i actually back it. its gets us in line with all the other race series and as the gird sizes will likely be a bit smaller then in reality it probably wont make too much difference. 35 on the grid - need to be 10 from the back to score 25 on the grid - need to be 10 from the back to score |
Maybe having 25 max, and 15 min on the grid doesn't lend itself to scoreing down to 25th? If only 15 go out, someone gets 10 points for finishing last, just because there is a low grid. At another race 25 may turn out and the last place person gets 1 point. Now whats fair?? |
What are the grid sizes going to be? I think the system worked well for us this year, I'm struggling to see a reason to change it. |

is a race series run by the DSC for 600/620 supersports/monsters and multistrada's. |
OH:rolleye: Thanks for explaining:) |
Err. :puzzled: Why are Superbikes not allowed:D |

i dont think anyone is sure yet but i recon 25 in 583, maybe a bit more in 620, 30 max? |
Well done Uncle Chris and Uncle Monty :D But guys, what's the point debating the draft of the rules HERE... I think I read it wasn't the best place for that  DDer you'll always be DDer :lol::lol::lol: I'm so looking forward next year's debates about all what needs to be changed in the rules... You never happy guys could all be French :lol::lol: [Edité le 21-9-2005 par Tonio600] |
I don't think we're really debating it (apart from the points  ) Mostly just a back patting session I think :D [Edited on 21-9-2005 by domski] |
As I put in the covering note this year out of say 35 on a grid we had 25 scoring points. Next year we are aiming to have two grids with 2 x 15 = 30 riders scoring points, that means more people will be scoring points than this year. It also brings us into line with other race series, etc, etc |
i cant understand why the club is so split over the DD. ducati means racing ducati sells bikes so it can go racing. they develop race bike which then become road bikes so racing them take the desmosedici for instance. so be the first thing you want to do with them. iv never understood why people buy ducatis to have them sit at home when all that time energy and pation goes into making them into race bike you can buy so the reason why i want to race my ducati is the same reason why ducati make road bikes in the first place |
