It\'s very quiet on the minichamps front!

Where have all you Minichamps collectors gone?

I take it that everybody's too busy riding their bikes!

Just to up-date you regarding my little collection,i finally bit the bullet and purchased a Corser 99!
It came from Holland, not as much as they had been fetching, but still too much for what was a £40 model!!:o

That now completes my my Ducati 1:12 race bike collection,i've recently purchased Laconi 04,Toseland 04,Chilli 04,Martin 04,Borciani 04 and i'm waiting for Xuas 04 to arrive!

Anybody else been buying?

Twinfan 22-Sep-2005 19:39

I've recently got Toselands 2004 999, Reynolds 2004 BSB GSXR and Chili's 998.5.

On order are Kagayama's 2004 and 2005 bikes, plus Rossi's 125 and 250.

KeefyB 22-Sep-2005 22:42

Yep,it'll soon be my birthday,so on the list will be JT's '04 bike, then either Martins or Borciani's DFX bikes.

Brogins 23-Sep-2005 00:11

Got JT 04 myself.. and of course already pre-ordered the xerox 05.. looks like they could have it available before year end.. but I don't believe it..as I did wait 6 months after the expected date for Valentino Honda Valencia replica...

Totally agree, what minichamps give as release dates don't normally happen, they're usually at least 6 months out!!
Glad you boys are building your collections,it had gone that quiet i thought i was on my own!!
Is anybody searching for a rare model that's been released awhile ago?

Steve M 23-Sep-2005 09:34

Basylissboy has now got so many, that he's just had to move to a bigger house to keep them in! ;)

That's it, it's started you're getting into 999s - it will be a real one soon.

I'm hoping to get one of the Manx Nortons when they come out.

Where do you order them from?

996R mini collection

... couldn't resist adding the 2002 998R as Troy 'No 1' plate machine

I've talked Ali into letting me have two more display cases, the house will be over-run with them if they release many more!!

Not even the 2007 Bayliss rep they release after he wins the 2006 WSB title on one ? ;)

JPM 23-Sep-2005 12:29

Where's that photo come from Steve??? In your avatar

Steve M 23-Sep-2005 12:40

It's from the Ducati Experience, the Gooseneck at Cadwell.
It was a good day untill the end - they put the bike in a skip and me in an ambulance!

JPM 23-Sep-2005 12:42

Oh!!! :o

Here's me thinking you'd never swung your leg over a 748/9*6/998 too :rolleye:

Isn't time you bought that S4R or that 999?

Steve M 23-Sep-2005 13:17

The bike in the pic' is a 748, level 1 was on these and then if you went well enough they gave you a certificate to allow you to do level 2 on a 996. Baylissboy got his cert', but for some reason they didn't give me one

I've also ridden a 996bp and a 749S (superb bike) :)

oh - yes it is about time!!!!

You forgot to mention trashing all your riding gear and my leathers and also trying to break both my leggs!!! Oh how we laughed!!! (and still do):lol:

How many times do i have to tell you,i'll never own a 999,not even a 2007 Bayliss rep!!

Steve M 23-Sep-2005 14:58

To explain that, I'd borrowed a set of BBs Crowtree leathers for the day !!!
Also he was waiting to return to the track with his instructor on the left just after Mansfied corner when my bike slid past missing him by millimetres.
