DD race fairings

Guys I have the chance to get some 600ss Race plastic made from the std fairings i was going to put up on e bay.
My question is, would anyone else be after any and what would YOU consider a fair price.
I need to know if this is a viable option as making moulds from my pannels will probably trash them ans to make one or 2 sets from them isnt financially viable.

Hi Glyn,

Ricambi panels work out about £140 for a fairing including postage. Quite a few of us are using them as there weren't many options at the begining of the season. They're very light, but not very well made (not that it really matters for a race bike).

http://www.ricambi-weiss.de

Cheers,

ali

paynep 23-Sep-2005 16:56

45quid is the going rate from Ricambi Weiss for lightweight fibreglass fairing sides.....

Damn, beaten by Ali AGAIN :lol:

Hi Glyn,
The man to speak to is Dave Cooper at http://www.hcracetech.co.uk/
He can make moulds from your existing fairing with out trashing them.

Chris.:burn:

multi600 23-Sep-2005 17:52

Should have left them with me Glyn. I can take moulds without trashing the originals.

psychlist 23-Sep-2005 18:31

I may look into fitting a top half fairing to my 'Monnie' (Haha Keefy!) for next year. Dunno which shape to gor for nor which'll be the "easiest" to fit, although I'll probably end up with whatever I can get "cheapest" :biaggi:

the old man 23-Sep-2005 18:52

There might be a market for 620 Sport stuff as this is even more rare than stuff for the 600. I have a set of standard bodywork i would donate for mould building - if it doesn't get trashed; and a race seat with support etc.

Tonio600 23-Sep-2005 19:16

I've got some prices for 620 Sport race fairings, I'll post them tonight in case of they might be of any interrest.

I'd be keen for that - assuming that kit fits an 800?

You finally realised that a 620 just isn't powerful enough to haul your big ass around?!?!?

BTW, 800's aren't eligible for DD :P

:D

Tonio600 23-Sep-2005 20:38

All prices are inc. VAT but without P&P. Fairings ready to be painted, inside glass fiber with carbon/kevlar reinforcement panels where fairings are fastened.

SS carbs - front fairing (without screen) £58
SS carbs - side fairing (each) £78
SS carbs - monoposto seat £97

SSie - front fairing (without screen) £75
SSie - side fairing (each) £50
SSie - belly pan (with 2 caps) £75
SSie - monoposto seat (3 models) from £102 to £108

I think it's not cheap, but I have see what this guy does and it's a very good work. He was the official dealer of the Coupe Ducati in France...

I've got a lot of other prices for most of the Duc (SBK inc.) if needed...

I'm interested Tonio, can you check with the guy to see if they fit an 800SS?

Just had an answer, his fairings for SSie fit all the range so no problem with the 800.

Rattler 24-Sep-2005 23:43

Will they fit a Monster?:rolleye:

Tonio600 24-Sep-2005 23:56

:puzzled:
I don't think so. What are you looking for?

Rattler 25-Sep-2005 00:01

I'm having some thoughts about fitting a full fairing to the Monster and wondered if the SS ones woudl fit.

domski 25-Sep-2005 00:54

I'm sure Louigi would weld a 916 fairing on - for a small fee :P
