Spill them beans;)

logyk 26-Sep-2005 20:25

Its a 1993 888Racing finished to almost original spec....just a few details need attending to.

sparkin 26-Sep-2005 20:31

Nice(where`s the green with envy smile when you want it)

logyk 26-Sep-2005 20:33

There's always a Smilie missing when you need it ;)

Jasper 26-Sep-2005 21:56

Screwy 26-Sep-2005 22:05

I see i,m going to have to seriously go to town on my poor old 851 this winter otherwise I,ll have to park up round the corner at any 851/888 meets we have next year :(

;):D

Paul.

logyk 26-Sep-2005 22:08

Well Paul the only meets this will be going to will be trackdays....as it ain't street legal!

Crunchy 26-Sep-2005 22:09

You most certainly can join the club with that beauty. how much was she:rolleye: and what are the few details that need attending too?

[Edited on 26-9-2005 by Crunchy]

logyk 26-Sep-2005 22:14

Thanks Crunchy.

She was more than I wanted to pay but less than I believe her to be worth.

I am waiting for the experts in this section to spot the "deliberate" mistakes

Crunchy 26-Sep-2005 22:20

I see you have managed to sort the resizing out. Go to this site and download this program http://www.irfanview.com/ it's dead easy to resize and touch up your pic's with this.

Is the foot pedal all carbon? Never seen anything like that before.:rolleye:

logyk 26-Sep-2005 22:24

Thanks Crunchy .....I'll try that .

The rear brake lever is made purely from carbon fibre .......its a work of art .

Bugga....don't know what happened there!!!!!

As I was saying (obviously to myself) I would guess that it weighs in at around 150 kgs dry ....it is so light to push around!!!!!

RedMist 26-Sep-2005 23:19

Absolutely gorgeous - crackin piece of kit Phil. Can't wait to see and hear her round a sunny Cadwell:bouncy:

Absolutely fungin' gorgeous!
Nice one Phil,you lucky,lucky,........git!;)

logyk 26-Sep-2005 23:40

Jools I mean to enjoy it........a number of trackdays will be lined up for next year.

Keefy .......you don't have to legitimate to enjoy a little good fortune . :frog:

Jools 26-Sep-2005 23:53

I can't look at it any more...I'm going blind :rodent:

sparkin 26-Sep-2005 23:53

Mmmm carbon brake pedal:) ;)

sparkin 26-Sep-2005 23:55

Boy do I want that screen!!!

logyk 26-Sep-2005 23:56

Anyone spotted the non original bits yet ? :o

sparkin 26-Sep-2005 23:58

Tank??

sparkin 27-Sep-2005 00:01

Do you know Phil that`s the bike I`ve based my lowly Strada on.Should it have three spoke wheels for that year?

logyk 27-Sep-2005 00:02

I am assured not.....tis one of the many designs which came out of the factory, according to my extremely knowledgeable source.

sparkin 27-Sep-2005 00:05

I agree Phil, they seemed to left the factory with what ever bits were around! The Racing Brochure for '93 models show three spokes and a tank with a breather hump.

ali 27-Sep-2005 00:06

That's just fcuking sublime. The milled out clutch casing, those pipes, the dinky rear disk, the not-off-the-shelf ohlins, the matt black marchis....... hmmmmmmmm...........

Almost worth giving up racing for.......

Take care of her. :D

Ali

logyk 27-Sep-2005 00:07

Well again my source assures me that the wheels are correct for the later models.

Felix 27-Sep-2005 00:08

Very nice indeed. I'd be scared to take that on a trackday. most of the bits that are likely to brake will be irreplaceable. you might want to think about getting a standard set of rear sets, just in case.

As for non-original bits, Brembo narrow track discs and calipers were not invented yet in 1993.

nelly 27-Sep-2005 00:16

brembo radial levers original?????
