Congratulations mate, imagine you`re well chuffed:) What`s the spec then? Spill them beans;) |
Its a 1993 888Racing finished to almost original spec....just a few details need attending to. |
Nice(where`s the green with envy smile when you want it) |
There's always a Smilie missing when you need it ;) |
That,my friend is absolutely GORGEOUS.Even nicer than mine(no,really!!).You lucky,lucky,lucky man.oh,and welcome to the 888 club.:D |
Thanks for the welcome Jasper and I can tell you that in the flesh it is even purtier. |
Very very nice  I see i,m going to have to seriously go to town on my poor old 851 this winter otherwise I,ll have to park up round the corner at any 851/888 meets we have next year :( ;):D Paul. |
Well Paul the only meets this will be going to will be trackdays....as it ain't street legal! |
You most certainly can join the club with that beauty. how much was she:rolleye: and what are the few details that need attending too? [Edited on 26-9-2005 by Crunchy] |
Thanks Crunchy. She was more than I wanted to pay but less than I believe her to be worth. I am waiting for the experts in this section to spot the "deliberate" mistakes  |
I see you have managed to sort the resizing out. Go to this site and download this program http://www.irfanview.com/ it's dead easy to resize and touch up your pic's with this. Is the foot pedal all carbon? Never seen anything like that before.:rolleye: |
Thanks Crunchy .....I'll try that . The rear brake lever is made purely from carbon fibre .......its a work of art . |

Must make a note not to go to any trackdays your attending :eureka: ;):D:lol::lol::lol: Paul |

Bugga....don't know what happened there!!!!! As I was saying (obviously to myself) I would guess that it weighs in at around 150 kgs dry ....it is so light to push around!!!!! |
Absolutely gorgeous - crackin piece of kit Phil. Can't wait to see and hear her round a sunny Cadwell:bouncy: Ian |
Lets juist make sure hes behind us eh Ian..bloody liability in front from what ive heard...;) Nat |
Thanks Ian ....that is my intention. |

Absolutely fungin' gorgeous! Nice one Phil, you lucky,lucky,........git!;) |
Jools I mean to enjoy it........a number of trackdays will be lined up for next year. Keefy .......you don't have to legitimate to enjoy a little good fortune . :frog: |
I can't look at it any more...I'm going blind :rodent: |
Mmmm carbon brake pedal:) ;) |
Boy do I want that screen!!! |
Anyone spotted the non original bits yet ? :o |
Tank?? |
Do you know Phil that`s the bike I`ve based my lowly Strada on.Should it have three spoke wheels for that year? |
I am assured not.....tis one of the many designs which came out of the factory, according to my extremely knowledgeable source. |
I agree Phil, they seemed to left the factory with what ever bits were around! The Racing Brochure for '93 models show three spokes and a tank with a breather hump. |
That's just fcuking sublime. The milled out clutch casing, those pipes, the dinky rear disk, the not-off-the-shelf ohlins, the matt black marchis....... hmmmmmmmm........... Almost worth giving up racing for....... Take care of her. :D Ali |
Well again my source assures me that the wheels are correct for the later models. |
Very nice indeed. I'd be scared to take that on a trackday. most of the bits that are likely to brake will be irreplaceable. you might want to think about getting a standard set of rear sets, just in case. As for non-original bits, Brembo narrow track discs and calipers were not invented yet in 1993. |
brembo radial levers original????? |
