Scrutineering question My ss is fully faired so is it likely I will need to take fairings off to be scrutineered to check lockwire etc? |

No they want to see it ready to race, they will see where they need to. |
Thanks phil |
If the scrutineer can't see or feel the lockwire he may ask you to remove parts of the fairing |

If people have to wait because the scruinteer asks you to do this it's just tough. What they say goes. |
1 Attachment(s) It happened to a guy with an RSV at Snetterton, I wasn't scrutineering that day but the guy had a moan to me about the scrutineer (Bernie) delaying him as he went to get some tools to remove the left fairing panel. Low and behold the cover with 3 bolts that contained the oil filter didn't have even one of the 3 bolts lockwired. Matt Lawson's Class A bike was picked up on lock wiring at Donington He now has one of my blanking plugs fitted (see photo) |
And be careful if you ride your bike to be checked as he won't be happy if he burns his hand on a hot exhaust while feeling around. |

Hen night's? Love it, I think all available women should have to wear them. In the unlikely event that I get into power, What Info should be mandatory? |
S.o.s Can anyone help? on the way back from Snetterton we realised that the ignition had been left on on Jims bike. it had melted the fuse! he has changed the fuse and fuel pump. the bike will start, run for about 5 seconds then the fuel pump will shut off and the bike will stall. then the fuel pump will start again! we cant understand what it could be, can anyone help? its panic stations now as he's booked for Cadwell. |
Skids is the man but as he has not commented I would change the relay,If the fuse got so hot it popped then the relay will likely have suffered, They are not unique to Ducati I swiped one off a Rover Best off luck and see you at Cadwell |
Replied to your PM Pete As Brian says ignition relay if fitted would be one place to look, does depend on how the harness is done could be anywhere between standard to full race So depending on the above also look at Ignition switch and Run switch |
