Ignore Avante

It's posh frocks and bow ties. There are those in the DSC who don't feel comfortable with that. That's fine. Those of us who like to put on the Ritz, get our hair done, go to the manicurist, maybe buy a new handbag and order a bottle of champagne for the hotel room to quaff whilst we are dressing, are planning to ignore the dress code and dress up to the Triple Nines. So I, my mate Nat, CK, AK and anyone else who was attracted to the 29th October do as a bit of a Posh Frock Do, don't be down hearted. It will be. I shall be in Ducati red. With no knickers ;)

No knickers! You've offended my fine sensibilities Ruth!

Don't you know I'm a delicate soul?

usual saturday night then.;)

Redruth 06-Oct-2005 11:02

I should point out that it's a long frock. The presence of knickers, or not, will of course go unnoticed.

:D:D:P

Unless ...

Maybe someone should run a book on how many DSC ladeeeezzz are wearing knickers on the night. Proceeds go to propping up the ailing DSC finances as they have lost money on TA5 and DSC Posh Night out.

Butch, you could join in with this one, if you want to wear your kilt.

dickieducati 06-Oct-2005 11:07

who going to judge it ?

Redruth 06-Oct-2005 11:09

Listen, I'm just throwing ideas around. I haven't planned this in any detail!:lol:

That's me all over, of course :frog::frog:

Avanti is an email sent out at the beginning of each month to all club members. It is sent to the email address we have on file which of course may not be up to date! This is why earlier in the year we asked everyone to ensure their email address were correct :)

We currently have about 40 email addresses that have been rejected from the latest Avanti sent out yesterday evening. So, if you are a club member and you didn't get an email headed

'DSC Mailout (05-Oct-2005 19:47:59) Avanti, October 2005'

last night, send an email to avanti@ducatisportingclub.com giving your name, membership number and email address we should be using so we can get the records updated accordingly.

Eamonn.

Redruth 06-Oct-2005 13:21

Oh? Just sent you an e-mail webteam. I didn't know about 'avanti' - and I didn't question CK about it last night as I was already well into the red wine when I spoke to her.

Can you send me a copy of the ones I've missed, or is that too much of a hassle?

Thanks
Ruderuth

How about a sealed bid charity auction for the judging job with the cash going to the charity chosen by the knickerless lady or ladies :):devil:

Redruth 06-Oct-2005 13:26

ha ha ha Nats coming ..... lol ...... [/quote]

Why is is funny that Nat's coming, Dibs:puzzled:

I did ask my boyfriend but he said he didn't want to spend an evening with a bunch of hairy arsed bikers

Well, firstly, I'd like to make it clear that he wasn't basing that on his knowledge of me :D

And secondly that was too sweeping a statement for me to even begin to try to dispel his opinion. The fact that I haven't met a single 'hairy arsed' type since I joined the DSC was not worth the effort of explaining as he's completely anti bike and is already wondering what to do to fill in whilst I'm out with my biker buddies. Secondly, his place is in the kitchen any way.:devil:

He's a chef ;)

Pincherrn 10-Oct-2005 14:23

Hi Everybody,
So how many people are still sticking to the posh frocks and tuxedos then. Not just the girls have forked out for posh frocks, I went and bought a tuxedo for this, so I now want to use it.
I'll pass the knickerless comment on to my girlfriend too, don't want her to be the odd one out do we. :)

Pincher

AK 10-Oct-2005 14:30

Prob a 70 - 30 ratio of 'posh frocks', to smart casual - from what I have got feed back on!

I paid to go in 'posh' - so I AM!:D

TP 10-Oct-2005 14:32

I will likely be in a tux as well. But the cast on my ankle is white so it might not look so good ... or hopefully I'll be in an orthopaedic boot by then, I wonder if they do dress ones?

:P

Mark 10-Oct-2005 15:34

Won't be in a Tux, then again, CK knew this anyway from the start. Don't wear closed collar, let alone ties for nobody. Although, been saved from buying Shazz a froc for the night, as she's happier wearing a smart trouser suit. Win win in my eyes. :smug:

Could always wear some 'spats' TP, just colour the cast in to match the shoe with the spat on !

WTF is a spat?

TP 10-Oct-2005 18:17

Ummmm ... not really to my taste!
