bike insurance

my current insurers could not compete with a new company i got a quote from this week....so i called them & told them to not re-new my policy. was looking at my internet banking last night and they had taken £229 from my account debit card without my permission and re-newed the policy anyway..... btw, i wont reveal the company name but lets just say that mr hodgson used to promote them....

I have gone over to carol nash from bennetts, I will be keeping an eye on my account :o

I just changed over from said company...I sent off the non-acceptance of renewal in time with a copy of new policy. Two weeks after the cancelled policy I recieved a letter telling me that I owed money for a cancellation of a policy! I wrote with proof of postage and telephone conversation/name of operator etc and have yet to receive a reply. Changed over at the beginning of September!

sent back my policy documents today, and should get a refund (i won`t hold my breath) even if i do get refunded i bet they take an "admin charge".

You're not the first person to have this happen and you certainly won't be the last. I wouldn't touch them for that reason alone.

bike mad 14-Oct-2005 02:10

what about ducatis insurance, it was cheap for me.

electricsheep 14-Oct-2005 02:16

ducati insurance for me.
i have the GSXR 1000 k5 and the 749R fully comp for less than half what i was paying TPFT on the R1 :D:D:D

AK 14-Oct-2005 09:33

CN for us.

Only cost me just under £40 to add the Tango to my FC policy - and thats still to run till mid Sept 06:o

Regret that Ducati Insurance were still £51 higher (even after when pressed) than CN at this years renewal.

P'raps its cos I'm old.................

I found BikeTeam very cheap for the Fazer. Then got Carole Nash to match it virtually so even better.
