Speed cameras - fighting back?

An question in a car mag got me thinking. Other than the method employed by the enthusiastic road users champion Captain gatso what can be done to show the roadside photo booth tax collectors that we are a step ahead of the game.

The question was
Can a decent sized remote control car set off a speed camera?

The example give was well capable of the speed needed but the guru answering the question wasn't sure of the answer?

Anyone know for sure or got any other bright ideas on how to set a camera off without the chance of getting 3 points?

Ray

Do what one (now ex-) DSC member used to do....

He rode around without a number plate on for months :o

On your bike go towards them in the wrong direction as close as possible to the white line, that sets them off.

Also didn't some kid tie a coke can to a rope and spin it around as fast as possible in front of one, that apparently set it off

If it's anything like the wife just tell it you are going to the pub.

That should set it off.;)

I know what you mean, it's been a hard day and my mind is stuck on literal interpretation right now, so I was trying to work out what benefit you'd get from the activity. Duh!!!;)

I support your more mischievous side....

There's one down near Fernhurst that took a lot of photos of a pumpkin on Nov 1 one year

Personally I prefer the old car tyre filled with diesel approach-not that I would ever do that you understand.........

Must be VERY satisfying watching the dam things burn.

The mobile ones I have had visions of anti tank rockets but that could hurt the operators. How about a flat bed truck with a high pressure hose on the back-as you drive past they are concentrating 500 yds down the road when WHAM suddenly it's raining very hard-inside the van.
