Great day at Final MRO round at Brands today....

Just got back from a great day at Brands today watching the final round of the MRO Champs...

Saw some great racing and was great to meet up with many of the DSC crew, Red-Leader, Dibbs, Chris Web, Mike & Lizzie, TP, Neil, etc, etc...... many thanks to Ozz for sorting a top vantage point in a corporate box (penthouse suite) over the start/finish line.

The weather was fabulous and the racing very close and competitive, a couple of offs, hope the fella who had the startline incident is OK?????

Some gorgeous bikes and some great laptimes too, with a new MRO laprecord of 47.55 being set !!!!! - great to watch....

Hope all got home OK, just before the heavens opened.?

Here's to the next one...

How did Hobday get on today I think he had already wrapped up the championship, My mate is his spanner but could not make the meeting today.

Rattler 16-Oct-2005 20:14

Jonti's the man who put in the 47.55 lap - he won both of his races - very impressive.

GsxrAge 16-Oct-2005 20:26

He was a privater a couple of years ago but lost his sponsor :(

Dibble 16-Oct-2005 21:24

Tim ...

.. a great day riding with mates in the late summer sunshine is better than being sat on yer arse watching some other so-and-so's riding in the sun matey :frog: Even on a VFR

Ozz 16-Oct-2005 23:08

That would be great, ta. Even though I hope not to have a broken ankle next time it would mean I could get really drunk and not have to negotiate the stairs!

Just got back.

Great weekend.

Thanks for Dibble and TP for the company last night. Great Banter!!!!

Thanx also to Paul for the hospitality today in suite P5. Can sympathise with you Tony. Those stairs were a biatch for me with the camera gear let alone having a leg in plaster....

Nice to see everyone..

Off to bed now.. Well and truly pooped.

Excellent day indeed and thanks to Ozz and Dibs for getting things organised. Go to see Skippy getting around so well, think we were in the penthouse suite just for him!!!

Great company, great weather, great racing, great views, what more can you ask? (Perhaps having a bike!!!!)

Best quote of the day for me was the guy on the 999R - "so how's it going" asks Dibs, "fooking crap, keeps breaking down!!!"

Roll on BSB:cool:

Apparently he's in a lot better condition than it looked. I don't know any details though.

Lifted from another websiteDave and Bernie {Bemsee bosses} called in to the hospital this morning and the good news is that although he has a bad headache and is very tired, Ollie seems OK

which is a relief, it did look nasty.

Thanks also from me and mw to Ozz for organising this and Dibble for inviting us, we both had a great day.

Ozz 18-Oct-2005 14:20

Good news. Lizzie and all others, you were most welcome.
