Cycle cat bar risers fitted.

I now have my cycle cat risers fitted, bit of a pig to sort but I have eventually got there.
Thet are a lot more comfortable on a journey now but the bike lifts a lot easier than before, I suspect with less weight being over the front of the bike.

On full lock they are fairly close to the top of the fairing but I will adjust them a bit over the winter.

They were an extra inch longer than standard which I could not get away with so I reduced the length and they are much better.

ace 19-Oct-2005 21:06

how much are these risers goin for ? anybody got any ?

iang 20-Oct-2005 00:12

Retail is near enough £300 but I had a group buy going a couple of weeks back and they cost £220 all in.

Spareshack was doing the deal, if you were interested ring them and ask Dave or Stuart if they will still do the group price.

It's okay, I installed it. Chopped off an inch of the end of the bar. Rode with it for 2 hours ........Thanks but no thanks...hated it. Called for assistant at Cycle cats, they promised to call back but to no avail. Put the original bar back on. Oh well.....Safe ride everyone

Whats that under you screen, above your speedo?

iang 28-Oct-2005 13:54

Sorry for the delay in responding, just got back from lanzarote at 3am.

That is my snooper s4 laser/camera detector, I have some custom fit earplugs that allows the unit to talk to me when riding and gives alerts/warnings. Works great and can be swapped to the car in seconds

Wow!

I have just become aware of this thread, and, for that matter, of this group! While I'm really happy about the latter, I wish I could say the same about the former.

Two things. First, we have never heard of installation issues regarding cable/hose lengths. If those of you who have experienced the problem would please communicate directly with Scott Reynolds (the engineer on this kit), at scott@cyclecat.com, he'll make it a priority to figure it out and make it right.

We're very interested in this, and want to understand! We just contacted one of our dealers (Section 8 Superbike), who has installed perhaps a dozen of these kits, and they reported no issues. So, in truth, we're at a bit of a loss.

Regarding PK in Thailand, I must apologize. We definitely dropped the ball on communication, but certainly did not mean to. Please write us on this, as we do not have an email for you, and give us the details.

Thanks, all.

Alfred, I will email Scott later on this evening, to discuss the problem!

Thanks.

Iang,

What windscreen are you using on your bike?
I've got a Zero Gravity Double-Bubble and am using an Escort 8500. The radar unit gets in the way of viewing the tach and indicator lights. Looks like the windscreen on your bike has a higher shape that better accommodates the detector.

Thanks.

iang 21-Nov-2005 20:19

It is a Fabbri screen, I can see the clocks no problem
