Feedback wanted N/V launch @NEC

Ok now we have had a laugh:D

What Flanks accidentally deleted was the preview of my new website.

The business venture has took seven months from inception and has took many many man hours from meetings with ferry compaies, to sorting out systems etc etc

what i would like from you guys/galls is some feedback!

The website is in draft form and is going to be built in ASP!!

so i'm not to worried about that at the moment.

what i want to know is what you think of the current booking service that you get from ferry companies when you book with them.
What you would like or could recomend you would like to see happen when you book!
what things you would find helpfull on our site

we have

insurance company coming on line with us to provide you with holiday/bike insurance

we are

putting a travel kit with essentials in it with a "buy on line " service

we are

doing a personalised route plan for those people who want to see places etc etc off the beaten track

there will be a accomadtion booking service

and we will advertise ferry "special deals" as and when we get them !

so what els would you like????

after all you are the traveler !!

fire away ... cheers mav

Oh and yes you will get priority as DSC members

I'll definitely give it a try Mav.....
Have had problems in the past and a one stop shop should hopefully mean I wouldn't have any hassle.
Good luck mate.

Andy thats the whole point ! as far as we know ! we are the first dedicated Two wheel independant booking multi booking agent! and the first one with a personal service!

we are not interested in ****ing people off ! sometimes we may not even be the cheapest ! but rest assured i am aiming at people who value good service
remember i know the score, as i have been booking biking holidays and traveling europe for years!
thanks for your support Andy....mav

It would be cheaper to have your own stand of a similar size to Honda's me thinks:lol:

Good luck Mav!

The last time I biked abroad was just after watching Roberts and Sheene battle it out at Brands so I'm not likely to need your services just yet but hope it all comes together over the coming year. Guess you'll be looking forward to when it really takes off in the spring after our bad weather clears up :o

Got 3 months to train her indoors up on the phone!

as the Ring trips will be looming!! i'm gonna be a busy boy this year and have a megga phone bill:(

Rarely go near any sort of travel agent these days but there are plenty who like the idea of getting someone else sorting the whole job out.

When I do use an agent it's nice to get a full itinary, times, where, and any other hints and tips. Its the details like a timetable of train, plane or ferry connections a few either side of the one booked in case you are early or more likely late.

A mate appears to make a very nice living out of Motorsport related travel if the contents of his garage is anything to go by!

Looks good Mav - but the 'Links' page did not work

bike mad 26-Oct-2005 19:08

not for me but it might be a good idea this time of year if you put your bike on a train and got off some wear warm, know if I could ride in the warm I would not mind paying £300 ish,
just a thought.:flame::burn::burn:

andyb 26-Oct-2005 21:02

You calling me a traveller?

Davieravie 26-Oct-2005 21:25

Do you do the Roysth/Zeebruga (spelling) ferry Mav?

NBs996 26-Oct-2005 21:27

Mav, I was about to reply to your first post before it was savaged by rubberlips.
My suggestion was to be a full itinerary, but you seem to have that one covered. I was once considering an escape to Almeria but gave up cos I got lost in the "how do I get there" stage, also couldn't work out a close enough cost estimate with having to plan all aspects through different agents and was browsing booking forms by trial and error.

The one-stop-shop would've been my choice, someone to whom I could give prefered dates and let them do the rest, and someone who'd ask me the right questions to work out what's best for me. I'd've liked boat/hotel bookings to be made, routes planned by someone who knows best, fuel cost estimates, route maps and ETA's. Maybe also some advice on local road rules and etiquette too.

Hope it all works out for you dude, cos I might need you one day!
