The Dark Side

Since the sale of my 996R I’ve been wondering what can ever fill the void. Those of you who have read this month’s BIKE magazine will have seen the buyers guide: Great value two-year-olds and the comments on the typical 998 seller really hit home ‘He lusted after a Duke for so long and waited until they’d ironed out all the early problems. He loves the 998, takes nephews and neighbours to see it in the garage. Doesn’t want to put the miles on it but longs to ride more and can’t justify it as a garage ornament’. When the 996R became an unrealistic tax exile I had to face the truth and let her go.

I have tried to love another Ducati – I test rode the Multistrada last week in Spain and I had a mint example on offer for silly money but I didn’t feel inspired – sorry MS owners, my problem not the bike’s. So what to do? Well I’m too young (sic) to be labelled the Saga R rider (sod off Webby) and whilst the VFR800 has a permanent home in the garage because it’s just brilliant I need a biatch to whip through the curves and who I can treat with total disdain so it’s become apparent that there’s only one way to go …. CBR900RR Fireblade 954

Lord Rattler will no doubt not approve

Thanks guys - this one is staying here to be nailed at every opportunity, we'll soon see if that Honda reliability reputation is correct  Had to cancel the Spain trip as my father-in-law had a stroke a few days ago and I'm needed here.

There are some fantastic deals out there at the moment if you're looking for a bargain - might be time to replace that 998 Kev :o

Stu - this was all your fault :frog:

Stu748R 22-Nov-2005 10:51

Might go for a Hardly Ableson next

I can just see you on a nice 883!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
