Just Posted my SP3 on eBay

I have just placed details of my gorgeous SP3 on eBay, as I intend to emigrate. I thought that as eBay such a global reach, it was the best medium.

Writing the details of my 13 years experience with this bike brought a lump to my throat.

And now I feel very sad.....

I couldnt find it either

CL955 06-Nov-2005 22:17

That's a good start!

I can't find it either, but this link from the confirmation email seems to work. Weird.

sparkin 06-Nov-2005 22:20

Didn`t work for me either

CL955 06-Nov-2005 22:26

OK, eBay is officially shite.

I can see it in MyeBay. This listing number seems to work in a search 4587881127

Not much good to me though - could be a long night....

CL955 06-Nov-2005 22:41

Just read the eBay help:

"Items can take several hours to be indexed fully by our systems so if you cannot find your item immediately after listing it, don't be alarmed. It will be included in the next update and available on site within 6 hours."

Maybe this is why - its a long listing with quite a few pics.

I've been on Ebay wayyyyy to long:

Excellent write-up: what a beauty.

Thanks Frank. Writing the story was an enjoyable trip into my past!

Totally gorgeous, no question of that Charles. Great write up. It must be killing you to sell her - can't you take her with you ?

absolute stunner, pity you have to sell up - can't you just crate her up and take her with you, it'll be something you'll not regret doing - how much can export of a bike be anyway, is it that expensive ?
My brother inlaw took his bike across to Oz 3 years ago, I don't recall the price, but I don't recall being too shocked when he told me what it was either.
in any event best of luck...
cheers

Awsome bike I would keep it if I were you and if I possibly could.

Awsome bike I would buy it if I were me and if I possibly could.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I'd love to take it down there, but it's a bit of a logistical nightmare - finding a garage, storing it while I'm sorting out accommodation, shipping all those bits....and then I've got to find someone in Auckland that I trust to look after it.

Still - worth thinking it over

Charles

Iconic944ss 07-Nov-2005 21:29

Quick shipping search:

http://www.upakweship.com/

and of course I'll look after her for you until are sorted :D:D:D:D:D:devil::devil:

misterpink 07-Nov-2005 23:24

if you need the money OK ignore this but you are a damn fool to let that one go - not only that the roads that you will be able to ride, great tarmac, no traffic, good weather(mostly) you may kick yourself when you get there.........good luck mate.

I could try and help you find someone to get it sorted. I know people in and around Auckland, some good mates I play rugby with. And they're genuine fella's too, like most kiwi's to be honest (don't tell them I said that, bloody sheep shaggers!).

I also have the details of a shipping company that shipped a mates 996 from here to Sydney.

Let me know if you want some help.

misterpink 08-Nov-2005 10:03

ditto what TP said - i am going back for a month leaving december 10th so can organise someone to look after it when it arrives or anything else - and if you DID take it !... can you imagine what it will do for the local ducatisti??? it will be one of a kind and worth a bloody fortune!!

Nattyboy 08-Nov-2005 21:12

I dont know what im more envious off..the fact that you own such a fit bike, or the fact that youve got the balls do to what I long to and bugger off to NZ..

Best of luck to you mate..

Thanks guys for your empathy with my situation. I'm seriously tempted to try and work out a happier end to the marriage of H133 and me. Feels like Relate on here!!

I'll let you know what happens.

Regards

Charles

See it was tugged from eBay, did you sell it in the end?

CL955 09-Dec-2005 23:56

Decided to hang on to the SP. There is too much of my life in that bike so I'm going to carry on cherishing it, which means it'll get ridden less than ever....
charles

Rushjob 10-Dec-2005 00:12

Good move......

851neil 10-Dec-2005 11:10

woohooo, party time - you'll not regret that decision, but try and blow her cobwebs away every now and again !!
cheers

Neil
