dunlop0_1 18-Aug-2013 05:36

£385 including the test day and on the short circuit :o . Does'nt suprise me with Hottrax. It cost less for me to do BSB last week at Oulton.

milesaway 18-Aug-2013 10:02

for me with fuel thats well over £500 before taking tyres etc into account- don't see the big deal for indy circuit-
guess they want to make up what they knocked off pembrey trying to get people to go there

Brands is a dear circuit, it's Shame because it's in my top 3 list possibly at the top of my top 3 favorites.

I shouldn't think it's Hottrax trying to make more.

even track days cost more at Brands.

That's why this will be my first time at Brands, always thought it was a bit of a rip off compared to other circuits, never understood why

skidlids 18-Aug-2013 18:07

The Brands price hasn't changed since I posted the entry forms up on the 28th Jan.

Its the nature of Brands pricing, its always going to cost more than most circuits and the nearer you are to the summer months it will cost even more.

Spjallen 18-Aug-2013 23:12

You'll still be late Matt.

bally71 19-Aug-2013 17:20

Too rich for me at the moment ..

I was hoping to do at least 6 rounds this year .. Only managed 3 so far

I won't make the same mistake of buying a new house next year though

hor5net 19-Aug-2013 21:24

71, you not gonna be at brands? that's not good!

I was counting on you to make me look good...

hor5net 19-Aug-2013 21:26

And, if will buy a house in West Kirby what do you expect... Change?

sorry dude .. even if i could go i've run out of miracles

badgerpilot 23-Aug-2013 17:23

The test day price is ridiculous, bet I still get charged £70 for the afternoon even though it's far less than half the track time. Why is it so much as the race entry is quite reasonable considering the high profile-ness of the (just about big enough to be a go-kart) track?

Typical theiving cockneys I suppose, you pay loads extra to live there, you pay to drive through the place, you pay to drive around the place and they serve flat beer. What a crap example of a capital city.

As a typical thieving cockney I can let you know we do it to keep the poor northerners out.

Now I have to go and drink champagne paid for by the congestion charge

Lol, I could probably buy a small village up here for the price of your tipple! :D

btw did you know Cheshire has the highest concentration of millionaires in Britain and any more north and you'd be far too close to Scotland?

And the Emission Zone is to make sure no Northerners with dodgy old Transits bother visiting :)

That's because you need to do your paper round first

Looks like I'll be a couple of weeks late as I have to do a 160 mile round trip tomorrow to pick up a bike, I did think of making it a 300 mile round trip and take in Brands but following today's problems I need to evict the 1100 Monster from the back of the van in the morning and then get back and start putting bits back on it.

A round at Knockhill would be brilliant. I'm not bothered about the journey, everything is miles away. Hottrax did look at doing a round there recently but the intrest just wasnt there. Shame.

flipping hell, thats 483 miles for me,, google says 7 hours 33 miniutes, I find that it usually takes me about 50% longer in my camper and the horsem trailer. so about 11 hours? still, it took 9 to get to Anglesey last year so I'd probably come anyway.
