Anyone actually still riding

I put my bike away a couple of months ago, just wondering if anyone was braveing the weather and still playing ?:o

TP 12-Nov-2005 13:50

Not me, although I get this rubbish boot off in 2 weeks and the 998 will be coming out to play on the first dry day let me assure you!

nathanhu 12-Nov-2005 13:51

i went out on thursday and my number plate fell off..

wish i had stayed at home.
took me 2 hours to fiind it....

Gizmo 12-Nov-2005 14:00

yeah, i'm still riding, did 200 miles around Dales Wednesday and am about to head out to Devils this afternoon.

electricsheep 12-Nov-2005 14:04

just got back from a 200 mile round trip, it's bloody cold out there

Loz 12-Nov-2005 14:09

Still doing the home-work run on the winter hack a few days a week, haven't had time for anything else.
The 999 is off for some warranty work soon, so it'll be out of commission for a few weeks.

AK 12-Nov-2005 14:14

no probs here - off to Hants meet at Popham tomorrow:)

Just back from a top couple of hours. Bright sunshine and dry roads, not that cold either. Loads of bikes out on the roads round here, although not mant dukes.

Lee1980 12-Nov-2005 18:10

Yep Still riding on the s4r much more better in the wet than 748s, still quite warm to here normally salt about by now. When they do chuck it everywhere I will try and cycle to work to save it:lol::lol::lol:

Brent 12-Nov-2005 18:34

Still commuting on my 750SS, and I'll probably be out tomorrow am (can't do Popham guys and gals).

khu996 12-Nov-2005 18:48

Nope, the weather has been predictably ****, it hasnt stopped raining for weeks (thats what it feels like) and now its even colder :(

YMFB 12-Nov-2005 18:53

Out every saturday morning for 3 or 4 hours for IAM observed sessions and have not got wet so far it was however cold enough for my thermals today.

Wish i could afford and had the space for a winter hack to save my ST but alas no so extra cleaning is the order of the day.

No sign of salt down here, Im pleased to say.

yorkshire pud 12-Nov-2005 19:23

weekends if its dry, soon as salt is down away she goes. got fork seals to do.

Did a track day at Cadwell on 1st Nov, was hoping to find time to swap back to road fairing this weekend. Mind you, a gritter just went throught the village with it's light flashing. Didn't think it was that cold, but the forcsat says min 4C tonight, which is in frost territory. :sniff:

Only got home an hour ago frozen (need heated grips!) made the mistake of stopping at mates house for a brew and got long story of how he had just been dumped by his girlfriend! Nice pics Michael, the first one looks like someone sending smoke signals from the other side of Whernside, is it your good lady signalling that your dinners ready? :D

Daytona grips, had them on max for a lot of the last bit down Shap, stil had the thin gloves on as I didn't want to stop to change to me winter ones. It was cold enough heading back at 4, wouldn't want to be much later.

Dinner ready?? got home and she went out to Carlisle for a Chinese meal leaving me to make me own bowl of soup :)
