Wish I had longer legs :sniff:

ChrisBushell 15-Nov-2005 16:13

JPM 15-Nov-2005 16:20

Better clear a space in the garage :o

JPM 15-Nov-2005 16:22

wilf 15-Nov-2005 16:25

read all about it on ducati.com ... lots of pics and spec. really love the fold away mirrors on the end of the bars!

antonye 15-Nov-2005 16:33

f*ck me.

Where do I send my money? :o

chicken 15-Nov-2005 16:38

Someone call up Sean - he's going to have to sell another bike!

Nice to see that they've tried something a bit different and it looks straight-forward enough that they could start producing in a matter of weeks if the demand is there. Don't imagine it will be cheap though.

TP 15-Nov-2005 16:41

:o

Grrr .. too many nice bikes ... not enough money ...

[Edited on 15-11-2005 by TP]

BDG 15-Nov-2005 16:41

Thanks Chicken:lol::lol::lol:

Now that is most definately the best looking bike Ducati have produced since the original 916.

I lurve it, but somehow don't fancy selling the KTM after 5 weeks

antonye 15-Nov-2005 16:42

It's been a long time coming but it has been worth the wait.
That looks the absolute nuts. I seriously want one!

JPM 15-Nov-2005 16:43

OK, form a queue, maybe we can get bulk discount

clockwork orange 15-Nov-2005 16:44

Steve M 15-Nov-2005 16:48

Get a job then....oh you have.....Aussie rugby coach per chance:lol:

You should have bought my Multi whilst you had the chance and crashed feck out of it a few times, then drunk loads of beer and with one eye shut, and a vivid imagination you could have almost had the same.

Seriously its fantastic.

antonye 15-Nov-2005 16:52

JPM 15-Nov-2005 17:08

Looks like it's all the rage, look at Bimota's latest offering at Milan, recognise anything? :smug:

Ozz 15-Nov-2005 17:12

Wow that does look awesome. Ducati site still buggered - I wonder why!

yeti 15-Nov-2005 17:17

JPM 15-Nov-2005 17:18

I think you're right there John, first time since the 916 (I reckon) that Ducati have hit the nail on the head

Nah...the Bim's obviously shares bits like the motor and it's got a trellis frame, but apart from that it's nowhere near as sexy.

Amazing what you can do with a mix and match of Ducati parts though isn't it? The supermoto looks like it owes a lot to the Multistrada...sort of like a naked one stripped down to it's bare essentials.

Now c'mon Ducati, give us a lightweight 1000DS based sportsbike...oh...and make it look like an NCR or a supermono and you'll have another winner

It is the future, how can it not be??? I never said it stirred emotions like the 916, whatever Ducati produced it was never going to riavl a 916, anyway back to your KTM, you seem to have an eye for ugly bikes LOL!!! ;)

Steve M 15-Nov-2005 17:36

there's this too.

Yea, but it makes me look better:lol:

As for the Bimota, agree with Jools, its just not right, looks like they've tried too hard whereas that Ducati supermoto just looks SO RIGHT, better than the KTM 950 supermoto which ain't bad itself, miles better than my Adventure.

MARTIN H 15-Nov-2005 18:18

I want one! Will they actually make it? They have to!

Mark 15-Nov-2005 18:20

Anyone fancy a weekend in Milan?

Totally agree, Ducati it seems has pulled something from the hat, which nobody was expecting. Lets hope this baby makes the showrooms, because I reckon it just might be the saviour of Ducati, as was the 916.

There are few bikes, which make me go wow. the Hypermoto just did. When the opinions page on microsite for this bike, make sure you fill in ya opinions, might make the differance.

I like the pearl S4RS as well.

Oh, Sharon, forget a new car in the next 12 months dear!

Yeh ! i know, but does'nt look like that though :P

Dominic Clegg 15-Nov-2005 18:53

wow if this goes on sale. can we make ducati make it there is enough interest.

antonye 15-Nov-2005 19:04

Ok, so what about engine options, weight, open dry clutch (on a motard?), and pricing issues?

Do a 620 engine version maybe with the wet slipper clutch? Around £6500 ? I reckon they'd sell loads.

Mark 15-Nov-2005 19:09

and maybe an 800 version as well as a 620 and 1000? I would imagine wet clutch, god knows weight wise, won't be far off a monster i guess.

Price it under the monster for the 1000, 620, same as monster and the 800 likewise.

DSC start a supermoto series in 2008!

VanDaMauler 15-Nov-2005 19:35

wow, does look pretty awsome...

I wonder if they are gonna make a V Twin Motard Race Series?

What with Aprillia , KTM and now Ducati all going the big V Twin supermoto route?

It`ll be rude not too.

£6,500 sounds too much for a 620, even with ohlins - ktm duke II is about £4,500 with WP front and rear.
Weight-wise would have to be 155kg or less?
