998s recommendations.... Tried the 15/38 recommended by Shazam & didn't like it, Nelly fitted at 14 front so 14/38 - now I like this a lot Pulls cleanly in 2nd at low revs - power everywhere - top speed I reckon is now down to 130 - 140 ish (guessing) but as the fastest I've been on a track is 125-130 it's not going to be a problem! Also fitted ferodo sintergrip race pad which are superb (with brembo master cylinder from my 748sps) and skidlids titanium 50/54mm termis sound superb but have attracted a bit of unwanted attention from the met...... |
Chris ... ... get yerself a nice Blade ;):saint::lol: |

I'm not suprised, with that gearing your probably doing a few thousand revs around town, no wonder they hear you coming. db killers then... nah forget that bad idea |
Henners - tell me you're kidding me, you haven't, you couldn't have - if you have do you at least still have the 996R?????????? Skildlids - fens sound way too scary for me - don't you have to sleep with your sister up there?! :lol: I like the sound of traffic & police sirens too much......I don't do peace & quiet - love the cans by the way & the ecu works well for a DP one:D |

Don't they have ducati dealerships in Spain????????? Are you mad - too much rioja/sun????? Yours - in a state of disbelief:puzzled: ps hope you gor a good price for it! |
Its a shame Henners has turned to the dark side! Maybee one day he`l return to the red side! |
The Blade .. ... after owning the 996R and being so worried about damaging it I couldn't enjoy riding it, and then it was going to cost too much to get it to Spain I decided to let her go to a guy who will ride her and look after her. I had 1500 blissful miles on her for the cost of a pair of tyres so can't complain. Went to pick the Blade up from Bristol today to find that even after a full service and new MOT they hadn't noticed that the front brake was juddering so cancelled the deal on the spot. Did get a good blast on it around the Avon gorge in warm sunshine first so I know that it's a great bike and I'll carry on looking for another one. I will have another Ducati at some stage, however, for now I'm taking a rest. Love the look of the S4RS .... ;) |
Love the look of the 98' R 1 ????????????????? L8r :D |
Yep ... .. but you won't sell :lol: Which is a very sensible position Mr T as she's a credit to you. Let's go Blade running tomorrow ;) |
